Chapter 52

I wasn't in the mood to watch SpongeBob with Ashton so I went upstairs to Luke's room to see that he wasn't there. Just as I was about to walk out, I heard a chime in his room. I went back in and saw that Luke's laptop had a notification on it. Someone had tweeted him something. Oh, the curiosity was killing me. I knew I've done this far too many times, and I'm not sure why it's so addicting, but the guys should really stop leaving their accounts open. I thought, maybe if I just walk away, this will exit my mind and I won't regret doing anything. It's not like the computer's going to jump out at me and physically force me to click that button. So I walked out of Luke's room and about 5 feet down the hall.

Just then, a burst of what I like to call, curious adrenaline, hit me hard, and I sprinted back to Luke's room and clicked the button on his computer. It felt good. Finally that's off my chest.

On his Twitter was someone who had tweeted him this.

@Luke5SOS I'm sure you've heard this from TONS of your fans but I just want to say this from the bottom of my heart....... YOUR GIRLFRIEND'S A STRAIGHT UP BITCH AND YOU SHOULD LEAVE HER CUZ SHE DON'T DESERVE YOU.

Wow. That were a pretty harsh comment. I didn't understand why that person was calling Arzaylea a bitch and stuff but I guess they're just jealous. I, for one, know how it feels to get targeted by people on the Internet. This may only be what Luke's Twitter is getting, but Arzaylea's must be blowing up.

Exiting the notifications, I saw Luke had been looking at Arzaylea's Twitter in the first place. Huh. He must really feel bad for her. I scrolled down her page to see what she was posting and stuff (just because I could) until something specific had caught my eye. I noticed my name on one of her posts. And I decided to read it. It said:

"I find it quite sad how Nicole Hood doesn't know much of anything. What a dumb girl. like srsly she needs to get out more."

My mouth gaped open when I saw that and I was hit with utter confusion. Why would Arzaylea say something like this? I thought she liked me! Well now I see why people are hating on her. They have a reason to. She is a bitch! I can't believe she would say that.

As tempting as it was to look at Luke's Twitter, it surprisingly wasn't as tempting to tweet back at her. I was just shocked at this moment.

That's when I heard Luke's voice at the stairs say, "Yeah, no worries. It's totally fine." He was coming up to his room. I quickly changed his computer screen to what it was exactly like before and left his room. I walked the opposite direction of the stairs and then turned back around pretending to be walking to Luke's room again so he didn't suspect anything. He saw me walking to his room and said into the phone, "Yeah, okay. See you later. Bye." Then he turned the phone off.

He walked into his room and sat down at his computer. I tried to make conversation to release any suspicion he might've had. "Who was that?" I asked with a smile on my face, pretending to be innocent.

He replied, "Arzaylea. I'm going over to her house." My smile faded and my attitude immediately changed.

"Oh," I said rolling my eyes and about to walk out of his room.

Luke said, "Whoa, hey, hey, hey, come back here." I looked back at Luke. "What was that eye roll all about?"

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "What eye roll?"

"I saw you roll your eyes when I said Arzaylea. I thought you liked her, Nicole," said Luke.

"I do, I just..." It was hard for me to say that I did like her now that I found out what she had said about me. God, I wanted to tell Luke about what she said about me soooo badly. I mean, this desperation was worse than the desperation I had to look at Luke's computer. But this time, I was being emotionally forced to not say a word. So I stood there not being able to finish my sentence.

"You just what, Nicole?" Said Luke. I knew I had to give him an answer. If only I could give him the truth.
