I had my bedroom door open and I was just sitting on my bed thinking.

To be honest, that conversation with Arzaylea didn't make me feel any better about her. She irritated me. I mean, I found her so fake. I hate fake people.

Arzaylea was literally the only thing on my mind. It bothered me a lot.

I was thinking of plans for when Arzaylea comes over again. I mean, I need to think of something. Luke is out of the picture now. This is between me and Arzaylea and the whole fight is going to be on hold until we meet again whether it's on the phone, in person, or on Twitter, if you know what I mean.

Michael was about to walk downstairs until he passed my room and saw me on my bed doing absolutely nothing. He stepped back and said, "What are you doing?"

I looked at Michael and said, "Huh? Nothing."

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

I replied calmly, "Yeah, I'm fine."

Michael glanced down the balcony, then looked back at me and whispered, "Are you still thinking about Arzaylea?"

I said, "What? No."

"Nicole, let it be please. Stop thinking about it. I think that it's ridiculous that you two are fighting," said Michael.

I looked at him surprised.

" I mean, you're 13, Nicole. She's 21," said Michael.

I was about to say something until Michael interrupted me and said, "And yes, I know you're turning 14 in October, but that doesn't matter. I'd still say the same thing. The point is, you're a young teenager fighting with a grown woman."

He had a point. I was surprised that he knew what I was going to say. Since he was right and I didn't know how to respond, I just shot back by mumbling under my breath, "She's not even that old." It was stupid, I know. But like I said, I didn't know what to say!

Michael said, "Come downstairs."

"Why?" I asked. I couldn't go back downstairs with the risk of getting questioned by Luke again.

"Because you look bored. Come hang out with me downstairs." Said Michael.

Hanging out with Michael is fun so I was like, "Okay, fine."

We then went downstairs and I saw only Ashton on the couch. Michael sat down with him and I thought, "Okay, if this is our way of hanging out, then so be it." So I sat beside Michael.

The seating went Ashton, Michael, then me. On the TV was Cutthroat Kitchen. No one talked. Luke was nowhere around.

That reminded me of what Ashton and Calum were doing while I was talking to Luke earlier. They were laughing their heads off at me. Maybe I should tell Ashton off. I'm sure he's forgotten about it by now, but I haven't. Just thinking about it made me feel more and more angrier and him and Calum.

Ashton was looking down at his phone.

After holding my tongue for several minutes in a room that was completely silent with nothing but the sound of the TV, I soon decided to just say what was on my mind.

I leaned over and looked past Michael at Ashton and said angrily, "Just so you know, Ashton, you and Calum don't know anything about me and Arzaylea's conversation on the phone, so I have no idea what you guys even found so funny earlier."

Michael began, "Here we go..."

Ashton looked up at his phone and furrowed his eyebrows at me. "You mean like, 10 minutes ago?" He asked completely clueless.

"Yes!" I said frustrated with his ignorance.

He replied, "Oh. Well actually, we knew you didn't like Arzaylea anyway, sooo if you ask me, we had plenty to laugh about."

Michael groaned, "Ashton..." while still looking at the TV screen.

I raised my eyebrows and said louder, "What's that supposed to mean?!"

Michael sighed.

Ashton looked back down at his phone and said simply, "It's really none of my business."

Calum's POV

I just finished up in the bathroom before making my way downstairs to the living room.

As I walked down 3 steps, I heard Nicole say, "Well if it wasn't any of your business, why were you and Calum listening to me and Luke's conversation in the first place?"

Right after hearing that, I immediately turned around and walked back up the stairs.

Nicole's POV

Ashton turned to me with wide eyes and said, "We were in the same room, Nicole, how could we not listen?"

"Easy. JUST LEAVE THE ROOM," I said.

"Fine," Ashton responded as he stood up, "How about I do that right now just to get you to stop pestering me? Alright?"

I gasped and said, "You are so rude, Ashton."

He began to stammer before saying, "Well why are you yelling at me? Calum laughed at you too! Why shouldn't he be getting yelled at?"

"I don't know where Calum is and you were just right there," I said.

"Oh, right," Ashton said sarcastically, "Calum's probably somewhere travelling the world and totally not upstairs in his own HOUSE!"

"You were laughing louder than he was anyway so technically, this is fair," I said.

"Okay, number 1: Your logic is like... not even close to being accurate. And number 2: You lied to Luke anyway about your conversation with Arzaylea so why's it even matter to you anyway?"

I stared at Ashton in silence wondering what I should say. It was true that I had lied to Luke, and I'm assuming Ashton knew that because he's one to know when I'm lying.

So eventually, I came out with, "How about we end the conversation here and never talk about it again?"

Without hesitation, Ashton said, "Deal," and with that, we both walked opposite ways and went up the opposite staircases.
