Chapter 20: Treasure

Jinhwan woke up with a big smile on his face

Today is the day of our performances. We'll finally know who'll be in Team B.

He looked around his room and realized that Hanbin was gone.

Huh... I guess he went to practice early.

Jinhwan got dressed and quickly grabbed something to eat. He saw Soohyun in the common room with Lee Hi. Jinhwan smiled as soon as he saw her.

"Morning!" -He said to them with a smile. Soohyun turned around and smiled at him

Ahhhh! Her smile kills me.

"Hi, Jinhwan. You excited for the performances today?" -Lee Hi asked

"Yep! What about you girls?" -He asked

"I'm kinda nervous, not gonna lie. I'm having issues with Hongseok. We just can't harmonize with each other well. Our voices are complitely different." -She said

"I think you guys will crush it, but we will be better!" -Soohyun said as she got up and put her hand around Jinhwan. His heartbeat quickened

"After all, I have the beat team leader!" -She said and smiled at Jinhwan

Aish... don't do this to me. Don't consider me a friend. Don't hug me. Just... don't.

"I have the best team!" -Jinhwan said instead and smiled at Soohyun

Why... Why did I have to fall for you when you care about somekne else? When I'm just a friend to you...

"We should get going. The rehersals are about to start." -Lee Hi said and then the three of them went to the music building where their performances will be held. They entered one of the rooms and were surprised to see a large stage set up, as well as a couple of chairs in front of it

"I thought this was going to be held in our dance studio. I didn't know it was this serious." -Jinhwan said

"Yeah..." -Lee Hi said as she looked at the stage in disbelief.

"Look. There are our changing rooms." -Soohyun said as she pointed at a door next to the stage. She and Lee Hi went to that changing room and Jinhyeong showed Jinhwan where their changing room was. They all got dressed to match their stage personalities. Yunhyeong played the bad boy, Jinhyeong was the playboy and Jinhwan was the nice guy.

Jinhwan suddenly heard someone arguing in front of the changing room. He peaked through the door and saw Hanna and Junhoe standing outside.

"Why are you in a suit? We all made a deal that we'll wear street outfits!" -Hanna said and Junhoe seemed annoyed by her. She looked at his suit and sighed

"Ugh... you can't even put on a tie properly!" -She said and then adjusted his tie. Jinhwan noticed that Junhoe seemed nervous

Those two gave the strangest relationship ever.

-Jinhwan thought to himself and smiled. He closed the door and rejoined Jinhyeong and Yunhyeong

"You guys ready?" -Jinhwan asked and both of them nodded woth a smile

"Good. Let's crush it!" -He said and they cheered. They joined up with Soohyun behind the stage and waited for their names to be called out

"Team Jinhwan, please step on the stage." -They were called out and stepped out on their mini stage that was set up with a large heart where Soohyun was sitting. The 4 students were surprised to see YG, as well as their professors sitting in front of them.

The music started and Jinhwan popped out from behind the heart.

You are my treasure!

Then, Yunhyeong also appeared:

No, You are my treasure

And lastly, Jinhyeong:

You are my treasure

And then, all three of then sang:

No, you, you, you, you are!

Jinhwan sat next to Soohyun and sang to her:

give me your attention, baby!
I said I gotta tell you a little something about yourself.

You a sexy lady
But you walk around here like you wanna be someone else

Yubhyeong and Junhyeong surrounded Soohyun, but she and Jinhwan pushed them away.
Then, all 4 of them harmonzed perfectly:

Oh, wooooah

I know that you don't know it,
but you're fine, so fine (fine, so fine) -Jinhyeong sang as he gave a threatening, yet funny look to Jinhwan. They harmonized again and then Jinhyeong continued singing:

Soohyun then walked away from them and Yubhyeong sang:

Mine, oh mine!

As all 3 of them reached out for her. Then the music volumed donw up and the spotlight was on Soohyun. She gently sang:

Treasure, that means what I am
Oppa, you're no golden star
You can't make my wish come true

The 3 guys then approached her and Yunhyeong sang :

Pretty girl, pretty girl, pretty girl, you should be smiling
A girl like you should never live so blue

Jinhwan sang truthfully;

You're everything I see in my dreams
I wouldn't tell you that if it wasn't true

Jinhyeong approached Soohyun and gave her a boquet of flowers

Oh, boy I'm gonna show you when you're mine, oh mine (mine, oh mine) -Soohyun sang and blew then a kiss

They sang and danced to the chorus again and then the three guys all sang the same parts as they did in the beginning, this time reaching out for Soohyun. There was a slight pause and everyone was waiting to see who she will choose. She picked Jinhwan and he kissed her hand, which wasn't planned. She seemed surprised, but just went along with it. He grabbed her hand and they walked towards the front of the stage as they all sang the chrous one last time.
