Chapter 101: A Singer's Ballad

"Great show, everyone!" -CL high-fived the staff and bang once she got off stage after her solo performance

I'm really enjoying this tour! It's probably my favorite one since I get to be here with everyone and see all types of collaborations.

-She thought to herself as she took off her earphone and approached her dressing room

After Team B's performance with Taeyang, we'll all be performing our encore stage. I'm so excited for that!

-She said and smiled as she took her phone and started scrolling

I have a few minutes to spare.

As soon as she unlocked it, she raised her eyebrow

Wait a minute...

-Just then, a message arrived:

There is still time until your contract ends, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.

What the--?

CL then examined the phone a little more and realized it was Minzy's

She did tell me she would need my charger. I completely forgot about that. But... why was that person mentioning her contract ending?

CL opened the messages from that contact:

I'm still not sure about this. I mean, what if something changes?

-She read Minzy's only message to that person before the latest one

What are they talking about? It's probably her lawyer wanting to figure everything out for the contract extension. but the contract ends in a few years. Why is she discussing it already?

-CL was confused but then just shrugged and returned the phone.

"10 minutes, everyone!" -She heard the voice of a staff member say, referring to their encore stage beginning in 10 minutes. CL left the dressing room and saw Bom and Dara in their 2NE1 jerseys standing in the hall and looking for someone. She waved to them and they smiled at her

"Hey,  have you seen Minzy?" -Dara asked and CL shook her head

"Ready?" -She suddenly heard GD's calm voice as she felt his hands from the back wrap around her waist. He rested his head on her shoulder and she smiled

"Mhm. We're just waiting for Minzy." -CL said and GD raised his eyebrow

"Where could she be?" -He asked and the girls shrugged. Daesung walked past them and stopped once Bom called him

"Have you seen Minzy?" -She asked and he seemed confused

"No? I thought she was with you guys." -He said and Bom sighed

"No one has seen her since our performance ended." -Bom said

"But... you were the opening act. No one has seen her since?" -Daesung asked and Dara and Bom nodded

"I'll try calling her." -He said as he reached out for his pocket until CL stopped him

"Don't bother. She left her phone in my dressing room."
