Chapter 27: Melted

Soohyun woke up and saw Lee Hi holding her head as she was sitting in her bed.

"Hayi... are you okay?" -Soohyun asked and Lee Hi lifted her head, revealing her teary eyes

"What happened?" -Soohyun asked in concern as she got out of her bed

"N-Nothing... I'm sorry if I woke you up." -Lee Hi said in a cold tone while faking a smile

She and Hanna haven't been speaking to each other for weeks now. Maybe they got in a fight

"Was it Hanna?" -Soohyun asked and Lee Hi chuckled

"No." -She simply answered

"Well, what is it, then?" -Soohyun asked as she sat next to her

"I told you. It's nothing." -Lee Hi said and moved away from Soohyun

Did I do something to her? Why is he being distant towards me?

"If something is wrong, just--"

"Stop it. Please. I don't deserve you. Stop being so nice to me." -Lee Hi interrupted Soohyun who was taken aback by what she just said

"What are you saying?" -Soohyun asked and Lee Hi sighed

"Hanbin kissed me last night and Sehun saw us." -Lee Hi said, sounding guilty and Soohyun

"Wait... my Hanbin?" -She asked and Lee Hi nodded, looking guilty. Soohyun was speechless

I can't believe this. She knows how I feel about him. How could she...

"I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to hurt you, Soohyun." -Lee Hi said

"It's alright. It's not like he and I were ever gonna happen." -Soohyun said as she faked a smile

"Soohyun..."

"It's fine. It really is. I'm gonna go have breakfast." -Soohyun said and walked out of the room while still faking a smile, but as soon as she was out of Lee Hi's sight, she started crying.

I thought she was my friend. I always defended her from the other students who said that she was two-faced, but I guess they were right...

Soohyun decided to have breakfast in the univeristy restoraunt instead of the top 15 students' kitchen since she didn't want anyone bothering her. She washed away her tears and entered the restoraunt and sat alone. She heard a couple girls sitting nearby making fun of her

"Look at her. She's so ugly. I bet she can't even sing." -One of them said

"Yeah. I bet her parents are rich or something. That's why she is in the Top 15." -The other girl said

I can't believe them... They're not even trying to hide the fact that they're gossiping about me. They're even pointing towards me

Soohyun's food arrieved and she thanked the waiter. She was about to eat, until she heard the girls making comments again

"How can she even eat any more? She looked stuffed." -One of the girls said and the others laughed at her comment. Soohyun couldn't take it anymore so she got up and looked around for any of her professors. She noticed Daesung eating alone and approached him
