Chapter 55: Long Lost Brother

Taeyang walked back from the classhe was teaching in.

Today was a really good class, considering that Minzy isn't here...

Even though Minzy and the girls returned to Korea on a short break from their tour, they decided not to return to YG since they need a well-deserved rest

GD told me that he'll ask CL to perform with him today, but I doubt that she accepted his offer since they haven't said a word to each other for almost 5 years now.

Taeyang stopped outside The President's building since he noticed a crowd of students surrounding it.

What's going on?

He approached the large crowd and heard some of the students screaming in excitment which confused Taeyang even more.

"Prof. Dong!" -Yunhyeong, one of his students called him. Taeyang noticed that he and some of his classmates that were next to him looked delighted

"Hi there. Can you tell me what's going on here? Why is everyone screaming?" -Taeyang asked

"One of the first YG artists returned!" -Yunhyeong said and Taeyang raised his eyebrow

"Gummy?" -He asked

"No, sir. It's Mr. Jinu!" -Yunhyeong said and Taeyang froze

Jinu... He was my brother's best friend when my brother attended YG. They even debuted as one of the first YG artists, along with Teddy's group, 1TYM.

Taeyang was still in disbelief that he even forgot about Yunhyeong

"Prof. Dong? Are you okay?" -Yunhyeong asked and Taeyang came back to reality. He faked a skile and nodded, assuring Yunhyeong he was okay

"You must be excited to see Mr. Jinu just like we are, huh?" -Yunhyeong asked and Taeyang chuckled

It's been years since my brother's death, yet that coward Jinu never even bothered to ask me how I was. He, more than anyone else, knew my situation, yet he completily ignored it...

"Oh, you have no idea..." -Taeyang said sarcastically

Taeyang pushed through the large crowd and got close enough to see Jinu who was signing autographs. He wore dark black sunglasses and had a big, proud smile on his face

I remember that he and my brother always wore sunglasses. Everyone, even I, made fun of them for it, but they always thought it looked cool.

"Jinu!" -Taeyang called him loud enough for him and a few students to turn around. When Jinu saw him, his face turned pale

"Y-Youngbae..." -Jinu said in disbelief and the students seemed confused

"It's Taeyang, now." -He said and Jinu was speechless

"I missed you, pal. Did you miss me?" -Taeyang asked sarcastically, but the students thought he was being serious and they let out an "Awwww"

"I-I..." -Jinu tried saying something, but couldn't.

"Come on, pal. Let's get you out of here." -Taeyang said with a fake smile as he put his hand on Jinu's shoulder and guided him towards the café which was only available for the staff and professors. Once they were out of the student's sight, Taeyang stopped smiling. He looked at Jinu bitterly and without thinking, swinged his fist towards his face, almost throwing Jinu on the floor.

Suddenly, Taeyang's heart started racing and he felt weak

Why did I... Why did I do that?

"Youngbae... I'm sorry. I truly, truly am... I should have been there for you, I know... but things are much different than you think." -Jinu said, but Taeyang was still skocked at his previous action to respond

"Youngbae... he's alive." -Jinu said and Taeyang raised his eyebrow

I probably punched him too hard. He'a having a concusion

"You need to take a rest, you--" -Taeyang tried saying, but Jinu cut him off

"Sean is alive. He's been alive all this time." -Jinu said and Taeyang chuckled

"You really lost it... Now I feel bad for punching you." -Taeyang said and Jinu sighed

"I am telling you the truth. He's in YG's office right now." -He said

"Look. I'm already pissed at you. Don't make things even worse." -Taeyang said in a threatening voice

"I'M TELLING THE TRUTH!" -Jinu yelled out loudly. Taeyang stared at him in disbelief as hee swallowed hard

"Why are you saying these things, Jinu? Why are you trying to make things worse?" -Taeyang asked with sadness in his voice

"I am not, Youngbae. He's alive. He was alive all this time."

"YOU'RE LYING! Why would he lie to me all this time, then?! His death was the reason my parents died too! You think he'd let such a thing happen to them?! My brother was not a coward!" -Taeyang yelled in desperation as tears filled his eyes

"They knew he was alive. You know very well that their death was an accident. That's all it was. They drove on a rainy night and lost control off the car." -Jinu said

"NO! STOP LYING TO ME! WHY DID YOU EVEN RETURN HERE?!"

"I AM NOT LYING TO YOU! Youngbae, you have to face reality." -Jinu said and Taeyang chuckled

"How can I do that when you just told me that everything I thought was real is a lie?"

"Sadly, it is like that..." -Jinu said and Taeyang stared at him in disbelief

"Come with me..." -Jinu said and led him to The President's office. Taeyang could barely walk so Jinu helped him. They opened the door of The President's office and Taeyang fell on his knees when he saw Gummy, Tablo, Psy and YG in the office.

What if... Jinu didn't lie?

"Why did you bring him here?! He--" -Tablo started yelling at Jinu, but suddenly a voice interrupted him

"It's time... He deserves to know." -Taeyang glanced at the right corner of the office and saw someone approaching him

"I missed you, brother." -Sean said with a smile.
