Chapter 56: R.O.D

GD sat in his changing room as he waited for his performance to start. He kept looking at his phone, hoping that CL would reply to his email.

I wrote that song a while back, but I just recently recorded it with Teddy. I wanted her to know how I feel about her because I just can't stand to see her ignoring me...

Suddenly, he heard a knock on the door. His hearbeat quickened as he waited to see who it was, but he let out a disapointed sigh when he realized it was Top.

"Come in..." -He said and Top opened the door and smiled at him

"Hey, man. You ready?" -He asked

"Let's just say I have never been more nervous than I am now..." -GD said and chuckled

"She didn't even show up for the rehersal..." -GD said and Top sighed

"Look, it's just one performance. Don't worry about it too much." -Top said

"It's more than a performance, you know... I'll kinda try to be flirty with her onstage." -GD said with a shy smirk

"You little sneaky fucker..." -Top teased him and GD laughed

"Think about it. She won't push me away of anything since we'll be onstage, in front of a lot of people. And maybe, just maybe... she'll change her mind about me." -GD said

"Smart, but it also be very stupid too. Yeah, she can pretend like she's fine with it onstage, but as soon as the performance ends, she might kick your ass." -Top said

"I know, but it's worth the risk." -GD said as he and Top smiled at each other

"Mr. Kwon, you're going on in 10 minutes!" -They heard one of the staff members say outside the changing room

"Time to go..." -GD said nervously as he stood up

"Come here." -Top said and GD approached him. Top put his hands on his shoulder

"You got this, man. I believe in you." -He said and GD nodded as he smiled

I'm so glad we worked things out. He's become a true brother to me.

"Thank you. For everything." -GD spoke honestly and the two hugged. Top left the changing room and GD stayed a few more minutes. He stood in front of his mirror and took a deep breath

"Now or never..." -He said to himself and then walked out of his changing room. On his way to the stage, he saw CL and some of her makeup and hair crew with her.

She looks so beautiful...

"Mr. Kwon?" -His thoughts were interrupted by one of the staff members.

"Your performance is about to start." -The staff member said an GD nodded to him. He took a deep breath and then stepped on stage, along with his dancers. The music started playing and GD moved naturally to the beat ss the crowd cheered. He started rapping:

I feel like a little kid
Trying not to think about you
Only 10 minutes at the longest
Our relationship right now is between cold and hot
Anything is fine with me
