Chapter 96: Strong Babies

The boys of WINNER, along with Red Velvet, GOT7 and Lovelyz, finished the rehersal for their special stage.

We were invited to be at GD and CL's wedding, but we had to be here instead since our performance is on in a hour.

-Mino thought to himself as he and his 4 bandmates entered their dressing room

"It's so weird to see The President outside of his office. I still don't understand why he had to be here too." -Jinwoo said

"Well, the whole point of this stage is too show unity or whatever of all the companies." -Seungyoon said

"That's true. He's sitting with the other presidents and producers and pretending to be friends with them." -Taehyun said. Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door and realized it was Irene

"Hey guys, I hope I'm not bothering, but... Mino, can I talk to you for a sec?" -She asked and all the boys raised their eyebrow

"Uh... sure." -He said and approached her. The two of them left the dresing room and then Irene grabbed his hand and started running

What the hell is going on?!

Then, she stopped and entered a janitor's storage. She locked the door and then let out a sigh

"Will you please tell what's--" -but before Mino could finish his sentence, she hugged him tightly, resting her head on his chest. Mino was surprised, but eventually returned the hug

"I missed you." -She whispered

But that makes no sense. She has been seeing me almost every day for the past month and she was always so cold towards me. Why the sudden change?

"Why so suddenly?" -He asked

"It's not sudden. I just couldn't say it earlier." -She said and slowly broke away from the hug

"How come?" -He asked and she chucked bitterly

"Because my managers have been keeping an eye on my every move ever since this collaboration with you guys was announced." -She said

It makes sense now. When Young-min said he was gonna keep an eye on me and Taehyun, I knew he was being serious. But not this serious...

Mino sighed and just hugged her tightly again

"I thought you hated me..." -Mino said, though it came off as a whisper. Irene just smiled sweetly at him. Suddenly, they heard footsteps walking past the storage room and, later, a loud "WHAT?!"

That sounds like YG...

Irene and Mino exchanged confused looks and then peaked out through the door

"Uh... sir... how are you enjoying the event?" -Seungyoon asked in a nervous tone

"Don't try and change the subject, Kang. I heard all 4 of you saying something about Chaerin and Jiyong's wedding. One of you better explain it!" -He yelled at them

"Shit..." -Mino said quietly

"What is it?" -Irene asked

"YG doesn't know about the wedding. It was supposed to be a secret. If he finds out now, he'll lose it." -Mino said

"Sir, there's really nothing to worry about It just--" -Seunghoon tried calming him down but YG interrupted him

"Nothing to worry about?! If their marriage certificate or even photos from the wedding appear in the public, we will be haunted by the media!" -He yelled
