Chapter 54: Butterfly

CL and Dara were shopping togheter in a mall in L.A.

Ahhh... It's so nice that we can walk around so freely without anyone bothering us or screaming in our faces.

At the moment, we're on tour. Our single was a huge hit all over the world! Not as big as Psy's song, but it's still pretty amazing.

CL and Dara sat down in one of the cafés. They sighed in exshaustion as they sat down. When they realized that, they smiled at each other

"Now I see why Minzy and Bom didn't want to join us." -CL joked

"Yeah. I heard Bom telling Minzy once: 'Those two don't know how to shop normally. They're insane.'." -Dara said as she imitated Bom which made CL laugh. CL's phone suddenly started ringing and she quickly picked it up

"Hello?" -She asked as she was still laughing lightly

"Chaerin..." -CL's smile faded as soon as she heard the voice. Dara raised her eyebrow

"What do you want." -CL said in an annoyed voice

"I need your help. YG asked me to perform my new song on Inkigayo."

Why is he telling me this?

"And?"

"The song is... it's Ride Or Die." -He said

"Oh, you mean the song that you and I wrote together when we were in high school, but you decided not credit me at all?" -CL asked in a sarcastic voice. The voice on the other end sighed

"Look, I'm sorry about that. But you know that people would make a big deal about it." -He said and CL sighed

"So what do you want from me?" -She asked

"Well, Lydia can't make it to the show and I need someone to sing the chorus." -He said

"Just ask one of the students." -She said

"No. I need... I need someone special to sing it." -He said and CL rolled her eyes

"I'm on tour. Find someone else." -She said and was about to hang up

"You're free for the next week and you're coming back to Korea. I checked." -She heard his voice and could almost hear him smirk

"I'm not interested." -She said

"Please. I'm begging you. It will be the first live performance of the song. It has to be special." -He said and she could hear the desperation and sincerity in his voice.

Why do I still care about you, Jiyong?

"Fine." -She said as she sighed

"Really?! Thank you, Chaerin. I truly appreciate it." -He said and then she hung up

"GD?" -Dara asked and CL nodded

"How did you know?" -CL asked out of curiosity and Dara smiled

"A lot of people can annoy you, but no one can annoy you as much as he can." -She said and CL chuckled
