Chapter 42: YG's POV

President Yang's POV:

I waited for Psy to enter my office. This will be out first meeting in months and we'll finally discuss wheter or not he'll retire. To be honest, it won't be that big of a loss losing him since he never did achieve something incredible like 2NE1 and BigBang did, but I still wouldn't want him gone.

I heard the door of my office open and saw Psy standing there with his sunglasses on. He walked inside and sat down without even greeting me

"What is it that you wanted to speak to me about? I thought I made myself clear that I want to retire" -He said and I sighed

"I want you to make another single." -I said and he seemed surprised

"Why?" -He asked

"Because... I never let you make the music that you wanted to make. We both know what happened when I let you do that the last time..." -I said and he chuckled since he remembered how controversial his first album was

"But I think you've changed a lot since then. I want you to make a single and a M/V of any kind, as long as it's not as controversial as you old stuff. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Just be you." -I said and he nodded. I smiled at him, knowing that I made the right choice. I can't lose anything with this. Worst case scenario: the song will be really bad, but at least Psy will retire with a big smile on his face

I shook hands with him and then he left my office. I approached the window of my office and looked outside to see the busy streets of Seoul. It's a much different atmosphere than in my office at YGU.

I prefer working at YGU since there is a more family-like feel to it. Now, I had to return to the YG Building since I sent the top 15 students, as well as 2NE1 and BigBang on a 5 day trip to Jeju Island. I think this will help them all establish new relationships and their time away will come in handy for me since I will have some time to focus on my paperwork.

I sat behind my desk and started working. Filling up the paperwork and figuring out the schedules for all the artists, but suddenly, I heard my phone ringing. Usually, I'd just normally pick it up, but for some reason, I had a strange feeling about this call.

I picked it up and heard a very familiar voice in panic and fear on the other end

"Hello?" -I asked

"President Yang... I have some bad news." -I recognized the voice of Daesung's manager. As soon as he said that, my heart started beating quickly. I knew him as a very calm and composed man, so I knew that whatever was happening must have been very serious

"What is it?" -I asked

"It's Mr. Kang... He had an accident." -He said and I raised my eyebrow

"What do you mean? In Jeju?" -I asked

"No. He left early. The crash was in Seoul." -He said

"Crash?! What crash?" -I asked

"Mr. Kang... he had a car crash a moment ago. Someone died..." -He said and the phone fell out of my hand. For the first time in my life I was speechless and shocked.

Working for so long trianed me how to react to every call. But I didn't know how to react to this one.

"President Yang? Hello?" -I could still hear Daesung's manager on the phone so I picked it up and asked which hospital he was in. I called my driver and we quickly drove to the hospital. The drive lasted for maybe 40 minutes, but it felt like an eternity for me.

When we arrived there, I saw a dozen photographers and fans crowded outside the enterance. My driver walked out of the car and helped me get through to the hospital. I was bombarded with questions about the crash. Questions I needed answers to, as well...

We walked inside the hospital and met up with Daesung's manager. He directed us to the floor where Daesung's room was. Just as we got off the elevator, we saw a group of doctors pushing a bed which had a body on it. There was a blanket above the person's head and I knew what that meant.

I felt as if my legs couldn't hold me and I couldn't catch my breath. So many ideas went through my head. I thought it was Daesung, but his manager pulled me away and said:

"That's the victim of the crash."

As horrible as this may sound, I felt releaved. But then, another thought went through my head:

Did Daesung kill this man?

His manager helped me walk to the waiting room where I saw Daesung's parents, 2NE1 and BigBang. His parents and Minzy were crying while the other  members of both 2NE1 and Bigbang were expresionless. Numb. This was the first time I saw them look like this.

We all sat in silence as we waited for any kind of news. After an hour or so, two police officers approached us. They stood next to us, but didn't say a word. Only when a nurse appeared, they stopped her

"What is Mr. Kang's current state?" -One officer asked. I noticed everyone else turn around and look at him

"Excuse me, but why are you asking?" -Daesung's father said as he was still holding his wife in a tight embrace

"As soon as he's in stable condition, he will have to be taken into custidy." -The second officer said and we all stared at him in disbelief

"My son didn't kill anyone! It was an accident!" -Daesung's mother protested

"Ma'am, a gentleman died. Don't you think he and his parents deserve justice?" -The second officer said. I glanced at Top who looked like he was ready to attack him. I quickly stood up and approached the two officers

"I'd like to ask you to understand the current situation. Mr. Kang suffered as well and I think he will need some time to recover. Only then will he be able to leave the hospital." -I said and the second officer raised his eyebrow, somewhat mockingly

"Who the hell are you?" -The second officer said

"I'm Yang Hyun Suk. The CEO of YG Entertainment and the representative of Mr. Kang. I'm kindly asking you to respect my decision." -I said and the second officer chuckled, but the first officer hit him wih his elbow to stop.

"24 hours. That's all we're able to give you." -The first officer said and the second one seemed like he wanted to protest his decision.

"Thank you." -I said confidently, but as soon as the two officers left, I let out a sigh and just sat down on my chair as I placed my head in my hands

A/N: A pretty serious chapter compared to the other ones, but I thought that Daesung's crash in 2011 affected BigBang as well as the rest of the YG Family a lot
