Chapter 103: It Rains

Seungyoon panicked about meeting Lisa's parents. So much so that he woke up at 5am on his own, since he couldn't rest

What the hell should I do? Why did I agree to this? Why did I even agree on her first favor?

Why did I even meet her...

He nervously walked around the hotel room that he was sharing with Taehyun and Seunghoon as he scratched the back of his head

What to do, what to do... Even if I skip today, we're stuck in this place for 2 more days.

Maybe one of the professors might be heading back home early. It won't hurt to try

He quickly got dressed and called a cab to drive him to the hotel in which the professors were staying. During his drive, he couldn't help it but feel guilty towards Lisa, but still, his fear got to him.

He walked outside the cab and towards the hotel, hoping he'd spot one of his professors

I'd call my cousin Dae, but he never carries his phone...

Just then, he saw Top walking out of an elevator wearing dark sunglasses and a light coat. Seungyoon's eyes widdened

"PROFESSOR CHOI!" -He called out to him, louder than he wanted to, scaring the receptionist and 2 guests that were sitting in the lobby

"Sir, I'm afraid you'll have to leave the hotel." -The receptionist said as she picked up the phone, attempting to call the security

"No need. He's a YG artist as well." -Top stepped in and the receptionist bowed to Seungyoon and apologized

"Kid, what are you doing here?" -Top asked him, taking off his sunglasses and revealing his tired eyes

"I wanted to see if one of the professors might be coming back to Korea early." -Seungyoon asked and Top raised his eyebrow

"What for?"

"I would like to return with them. I'm, uh... not feeling very well." -Seungyoon said nervously and Top seemed doubtful

"Is everything alright with your bandmates?" -Top asked quietly

"Yes, of course!" -Seungyoon quickly said and Top chuckled

"Okay. You can go with me, but I'm going right away." -He said and Seungyoon gasped

"But all of my things are at the hotel, even my wallet and passport." -He said and Top laughed

"Ask your buddies to bring your stuff and don't worry about the ticket and passport. We're flying in a private jet." -He said and casually walked out of the hotel. Seungyoon quickly followed

"Thank you so much, sir! I'll pay you back as soon as I get my wallet." -He said and Top chuckled

"Chill, kid. I don't need your money. But what I do need is an actual explanation as to why you're in such a hurry to leave when it seems to me that you are perfectly fine." -He said and Seungyoon sighed but nodded.

"That's our ride." -Top said as he pointed towards a cab. He put on his sunglasses again as he and Seungyoon walked towards the cab. As they began boarding the plane, Seungyoon was amazed by every detail of it

"Pretty cool, huh?" -Top asked and Seungyoon nodded several times

"It's YG's." -He said and Seungyoon swallowed hard

"He lets you borrow it?"

"Well... 'rents it out to me' would be a better way to explain it." -Top said and Seungyoon laughed as he sat in front of Top

"So... why are you in such a rush to leave? All the other kids are excited to have these 3 days off." -Top asked and Seungyoon's smile faded

"It's a... pretty silly story." -He said

"Oh trust me, I've heard em all." -Top said and Seungyoon took a deep breath

"Well this girl from the university somehow got me to agree to be her fake boyfriend in front of her parents. I, obviously, wasn't listening to her and only yesterday found out what it was that I actually agreed on." -He said and Top seemed confused

"Wait... Even if she was annoying and you didn't want to listen to her explaining it all over again, why didn't you just say 'No'?" -Top asked and Seungyoon looked away

"I-I don't know." -He said and Top smiled sweetly at him

"You like her." -He said and pointed at him

"Of course not! I'm just nice to people." -He said and Top chuckled

"You could be the nicest guy in the world, but you become an idiot only when you like someone." -Top said and Seungyoon seemed offended

"No offense, kid."

"No, I just... It's not that. I don't like her. I don't even know anything about her but her name and that she's friends with that guy from GOT7." -Seungyoon said and seemed annoyed. Top laughed again

"What now?" -Seungyoon asked

"Nothing. Just that I doubt you'd be having that kind of reaction if her friend was a girl." -He said

"I'm not jealous, if that's what you're aiming at."

"I'm not aiming at anything. Kid, it's enough just to see the way you act when you talk about her. You like this girl." -Top said and Seungyoon sighed

"What's the point of arguing with you when you already came to your own conclusions?"

"You mean, what's the point of arguing when I'm right. But anyways, who's the girl?" Top asked with a devilish smile

Is he being serious right now?

"Lalisa." -Seungyoon gave in. Top thought about her name for a second

"Lalisa... Ah yeah, whenever we discussed who each rapper would work with, she always says your name." -Top said and Seungyoon suppressed a smile

"Really?" -He asked as he blushed a bit. Top grinned

"Of course not, kid. I don't even know her. And your friend Tyson obviously doesn't talk to you much about my classes 'cause I don't even have them. I just wanted to see how much you didn't like her." -Top said and Seungyoon was in disbelief

"Look, kid. I'm sorry about that, I'm just trying to make you understand your own damn self. Sometimes others can sense our emotions before even we can." -Top said and Seungyoon chuckled bitterly

"Even if I felt anything towards her, what's the point? She obviously just sees me as someone she can use and then act like she doesn't know me."

"Well... I don't really see you fighting for her affection. Instead, I see you running away." -Top said and Seungyoon felt guilty

"But it's not too late, kid. She'll come back to the University in 2 days too."

"She'll hate me..." -Seungyoon said with sadness and guilt in his voice
