Chapter 98: YG Family

GD, CL, Taeyang, Dara, Taehyun and Mino were asked to come to YG's office before the official meeting with the others. They knew that he wanted to speak to them about their relationships

"Good morning." -YG said in a serious tone which made them nervous even more

"You probably know why I have invited you all here." -He said and they all nodded. YG sighed

"All of you are now in dangerous situations. You are even risking your careers, but most importantly... you have lied to me." -YG said and they all felt guilty

"I know I'm a difficult person, but... if only either of you had told me about your relationships, I would have tried to help you. What if I found out about all this through news sites? I wouldn't be able to do nor say anything. I should be punishong all of you for your behaviour." -YG said and then took a deep breath as he calmed down

"But... I can't do that." -He said and they seemed surprised

"If these weren't honest relationships, I would have told you to just break things off. However, I see that all of you truly care for your partners and that's something that no one, not even I, can control." -He said and the artists were speechless

"So we will make a deal. You must be as secretive as possible about your relationships. If you see that you're heing watched, contact me as soon as possible and I'll come up with a story. Is that clear?" -He asked and they nodded

"I said... Is that clear?!" -He asked a bit louder

"Yes!" -They all agreed and he smiled.

"Good... now let's wait for the others to arrive."

All the artists soon arrived into YG's office. Team B was one of them which was a surprise to them, as well as the other artists. They all walked inside of YG's office and took a seat as he greeted them all with a smile.

"Hello, everyone. Today, we're discussing the activities for this year's anniversary." -YG said and the older artists seemed confused

"We didn't have any activities since Se7en left..." -Some could hear Top whispering to GD who nodded. YG seemed to have heard him since he sighed angirly

"As you know, ever since Gummy and Se7en left this company, we didn't have any YG family concerts since I thought we didn't have enough artists. Now, however, we have 4 new acts." -He said and they seemed confused

"Who's the fourth one?" -Dara whispered to Taeyang who just shrugged

"The fourth one being Team B." -YG said and they all seemed surprised. The other artists applauded them, but they just stared at YG in disbelief

"But... you said we weren't going to debut together." -Hanbin said and YG smiled

"I did and I really didn't plan to include trainees in the concert. However, the fans are requesting me to keep Team B together and to debut them soon. So I had a choice: either disband the group like I said I would, or give the fans what they want. I chose the second option." -YG said and the boys looked at each other in disbelief

"You're going to debut us?!" -Jinhwan asked in excitment

"Not necessarily..." -He said and their smiles faded

"After the YG Family Concert, there will no longer be Team B." -YG said and they were all shocked. YG noticed that and smirked

"Because, let's be honest... 'Team B' would be a horrible name to debut with, right?" -He asked and they were even more confused

"Instead, I chose a unique name for this group - iKON. All the members of Team B, along with another trainee will debut under this name in a few months." -YG said and they all cheered for them

"I-I... I'm finally going to debut?" -Bobby asked as his voice shook. YG smiled proudly at him and nodded. With no hesitation, Bobby ran up to him and hugged him

"Thank you so much for giving me a chance, sir." -Bobby spoke truthfully and this was the first time that the older artists saw their president supressing tears. Once they all calmed down and took a seat, YG continued:

AKMU are currently promoting their first album so they sadly won't participate. As for Ms. Hayi, she will be performing a few solo songs and you'll also have a collaboration with Ms. Gong." -YG said as Minzy and Lee Hi smiled at each other

"The Kang cousins will also have a collaboration. You two will be doing a cover of 2NE1's 'Ugly'." -YG said. Daesung and Seungyoon high-fived

"The members of Team B will perform Ringa Linga with Taeyang. Dara, Mino and Top will perform Doom Dada." -YG said and Dara seemed confused

"GD and CL will perform The Leaders." -He said and Gd winked at CL who smirked

"This concert will also be the first time BIGBANG and 2NE1 will perform 'Lollipop' live." -YG said and all of the menbers of BIGBANG and 2NE1 protested his decision

"There's no way I'm gonna be dancing to that. Or anything, for that matter." Top said

"I don't want to sing that!" -Seungri protested

"Can we just do another song?" -CL asked

"No. This is how I've decided." -YG said and they all groaned. The other artists quietly laughed at them

"Jinu and Sean will also be performing and Psy, sadly, can't make it to the concert." -YG said

"Does that mean that Hanna will be performing with them?" -Junhoe asked

"No. They'll start promoting their comeback after the family concert." -YG said

"That is all. The preparations will begin from next week." -YG said and dismissed the meeting. The artists left his building and he watched as they all walked together back to campus. He smiled proudly

I thought many times that I had lost this family, but this just proves that I haven't...

-He thought to himself as he watched all of his artists smiling and talking together

Wait... someone is missing. Where's Bobby?

Only later, he noticed Bobby walking, or rather, jumping in happiness as he spoke on the phone with someone. YG opened his window to try and hear him

"Mom... I've made it. I'm going to debut soon." -Bobby said with a big smile. YG couldn't help it, but smile as well

You've come a long way, Jiwon...

Then, he saw Hayi approaching Bobby. His back was turned so he didn't see her. She gave him a back hug and surprised him

Yah! They shouldn't be so touchy! If someone snaps a photo of them... Ah... whatever.

-YG smiled as he looked at the two of them

"I told you. I said I was gonna make you proud." -He said and she smiled sweetly at him

"I was always proud of you." -Hayi said and hugged him. Bobby looked up and saw YG. The two of them exchanged smiles and Bobby pointed his finger towards him as he mouthed:

"I won't let you down this time."

YG nodded and then walked away from his window

You never let me down.
