Chivonn:
I had to shut Michael down in the kitchen and once again he went from zero to one hundred in about two seconds and then just left the house. I'm not sure what time he came in, but he was on the couch sleeping when I left for work the next morning. I walked into the office really slowly looking around in all directions. I didn't want Sean to sneak up on me first. I needed to see where he was at so I could plan my avoidance strategy. I was too busy looking all around that I didn't notice my target sitting right behind my desk.
"Chivonn."
"Holy..shi..." I covered my mouth to stop the curse from slipping out. I look back and was relieved to see there were no clients sitting out in the waiting room to hear my almost outburst. I closed the door behind me and walked up to the desk. "What are you doing in here?"
"I just wanted to apologize. Things got way out of hand this past weekend..." He stood up from my chair and walked around the desk and stood about a foot away from me.
"Yeah...and let me warn you. Things are going to get a lot more out of hand if you don't leave me alone. We shouldn't talk anymore." I spoke in a hushed voice. He sighed heavily and took one more step towards me.
"I can press assault charges against him, you know. He attacked me first. Not only that, but he drew a weapon. I had every right to handle him like I did. I'm sure the nightclub will have surveillance footage to prove it. I've already issued a subpoena to gather his detailed criminal background. It was on my desk this morning. You should check some of it out and see what type of person you are really dealing with here." He attempted to brush past me.
"Wait... please... don't press charges." I touched his hand lightly but he jerked it away from me.
"Then you better tell your little thug boyfriend that I want to see him on his knees in front of me. Make that happen soon or that's exactly what I'll do." Michael would never ever in a million years... He started to leave the room but he turned at the last minute with the door still half open.
"You know Chivonn, it really makes me sick when I see good girls like you so willing to let a good thing go for bad guys like him..." He shut my door before I could respond and was gone.
I texted Michael immediately as soon as I sat down behind my desk.
Me:
Be home when I get home. We need to talk.
Michael didn't respond until it was well into my lunch time. I was sitting outside at the picnic table in our small office yard eating the sandwich I brought with me.
Michael:
Is u breakin up wit me? Cuz I ain't havin it. Sorry fo blowin up at u, girl. I'm just horny and moody AF!!
Me:
Who's AF?!
Michael:
.........
Michael:
As fuck, u retard.
I had to laugh at myself a little bit as I put my phone down. That's my boyfriend...
Me:
No, I'm not breaking up with you. Even though I should. You were out of line as usual.
Michael:
Standin in line is fo the birds. Wat we need to talk fo then?
I wanted to be there so I could hold him back from tearing up everything around him when I did finally tell him the bad news. So I didn't answer his text right away.
