(Six months later)
General Pov
Jude and Connor were stretched on the grass in Connor's backyard just watching the clouds. It was a couple days before Christmas and they were thinking about what to get each other. The night sky started to make Jude tried.
J: I should get heading home.
C: why can't you stay the night? I mean my dad isn't home til Christmas Eve.
J: what if he comes back earlier like he did a couple years ago.
C: I'll protect you. He'll never lay a finger on you again.
J: fine. Let me text my moms and tell them I'm staying.
Lena Pov
Where is Jude? He's been gone all day with Connor. I'm starting to think he's a bad influence on him. My phone started to vibrate.
J: is it ok if I stay the night at Connor's.
L: why. You've been with him all day. Your not trying to have sex are you.
J: What no. I'm just super tired and Connor doesn't trust me driving home.
I was thinking on what to tell Jude. If I tell he has to come home he'll be mad at me. What should I do?
S: let him stay at Connor's. We know Jude well enough to know he never lies to us.
L: fine but I just don't want my Jude to be arou-
S: just let him.
I texted Jude back and told him yes as long as he comes home tomorrow at 1pm sharp.
Connor Pov
While Jude and I waited for his mom to respond we curled ourselves up on the couch and watched some tv. Jude had told me how she might not let him stay because she thought we'd hit it off or something. We almost fell asleep waiting for Lena to reply. When she finally did she said yes. So, we decided to order pizza. By time I came back from talking on the phone, Jude was asleep.
I bent down and started shaking him lightly.
C: come on Judicorn wake up.
J: why
C: because I wanted you to stay so we could hangout not sleep, plus I just ordered pizza for us to eat.
J: ok I guess you're right.
He sat up and leaned his head on my shoulder. I thought he was going to fall asleep again but he didn't.
(20 minutes later)
Jude Pov
The pizza finally got there. I handed the man the money and sat back down next to Connor. He was looking at pictures of us on my phone.
J: see anything you like.
C: yep, he's sitting right next to me.
I smiled. We ate our pizza then went to bed.
Connor Pov
We woke up to the sound of the doorbell.
J: I'll go see who it is.
C: not without me, it's like 3am. No one should be ringing the doorbell.
J: ok.
We open the door to find the last person on earth we excepted to be there.
J: Mama?
Lena Pov
I could handle the fact Jude being over at Connor's house. I feel like Connor is just using Jude to get some one better. I decided to head over there at 2:45 am and got over there at 3 am.
L: yea...um Jude... Mom was at work and she got shot.
J: again?
L: yea we...um...have to get over as quick as possible.
J: ok. Connor will you come with me.
C: of course.
L: actually Jude he can't come...family only.
C: it's ok. Call me or text me if you need anything.
J: love you bye.
Jude gave Connor a kiss then rushed me to the car.
I could see the hospital in front of us. I knew once we passed it Jude would start asking me questions.
J: why'd you pass the hospital.
L: we're not going to the hospital.
J: what do you mean
L: mom didn't actually get shot. I just couldn't stand you hanging out with Connor anymore.
J: why, I told you we weren't doin-
L: I think he's a bad influence.
J: that's not fair.
I couldn't think of any other words to say so, the rest of the ride home was silent.
Jude Pov
I can't believe her. She never thinks anyone who Mariana, Jesus, Callie, or Brandon dates is a "bad influence" but as soon as I get someone I love she thinks their going to get me to kill someone. I can't stand it anymore.
L: Jude I know you're mad but there's lots of fish in the sea.
J: but there's only one fish for me.
L: Jude, you know I love you and I wouldn't do anything to hurt you.
J: well I don't love you in fact I hate you right now.
L: Jude!!!! Don't talk to me like that.
J: I'm going to see Connor and you can't stop me.
After that I got up and ran to Connor's house.
Connor Pov
I was about to get back in bed when Jude texted me to meet him at the corner by my house. I slipped on my shoes and headed out the door. I get to the corner and wait about five minutes before I see Jude running towards me. When he gets to me, he throws his arms around me. I can here him start to cry.
C: what's wrong Judicorn.
J: my mom lied to me. Mom didn't actually get shot she just told me that to get me to leave. Then she told me you were a bad influence and told me that she loved me and wouldn't do anything to hurt me and told he that I hated her and I wasn't going to let her stop me from seeing you.
That's when he started to cry even harder.
C: how about you come with me and get some sleep.
J: what about my moms.
C: what about them.
J: what if they don't want me anymore.
C: Jude that's crazy talk. I pretty sure they still want you. Now stop crying because I don't like seeing my little Judicorn cry.
He gave me a small smile and nodded. I threw my arm around his shoulder and we walked to my house and climbed in bed.
J: I still feel bad about yelling at my mom.
C: here, why don't I text your mom and tell her you came over here to cool off. I'll walk you home in the morning.
J: ok.
Without another word he fell asleep in my warm arms.
