Jude cuddled himself up on his side. He laid quietly on his bed in his pitch black room. Tears stained his cheeks while his eyes were blood shot red.
It's been nearly two weeks since Jude saw or spoke to Connor. He spent the whole first week in his room hardly speaking to anyone. Stef and Lena even tried to end his grounding after the first three days, but he still insisted that he was grounded for a month.
"Hey Bud." Stef opened Jude's door releasing the hallway light into his bedroom. It was the first light he's seen in a couple of days. "Mama made some breakfast. Do you wanna join us?" She asked hoping he would finally say yes.
"I'm not hungry." His words were shaky as spoke facing the opposite direction of Stef.
"You sure, she made pancakes." Stef spoke in her best convincing tone.
"I said I'm not hungry."
"Ok, we'll save you some for later just in case." Stef sighed then closed the door again. She made her way back to the kitchen.
"He still won't budge." Stef stated when she reached Lena. "I even told him you make pancakes."
"I think we should get him some help. Like hire a professional to talk to him." Lena placed a plate in front of her wife.
"He hasn't left his room in over two weeks and hardly wants to speak with us. How are we going to get him out the house to talk with a complete stranger?"
"We'll get one of those therapists that come to people's house to talk to him."
"I think we should wait for him to come to us. He'll tell us everything when he's ready. He always does, but until then we have to be patient." Stef reassured Lena by rubbing her back.
"I hope you're right." Lena breathed out.

"You have to go to school." Adam crossed his arms. He watched his son as he laid on his bed. Connor stared at the ceiling trying to space out the world."No I don't. I decided I'm going to stay here forever." His words came out all in one tone. In over words they were plain out Emotionless.
"If you stay here and don't graduate, that might become a reality." Adam tried to snap some sense into the lifeless looking boy.
"Good so, you see my point." Adam rolled his eyes at his son's careless response.
"I want you out the house going to school in five minutes."
"Why, you wanna spend the whole shoving your tongue down Laura's throat without any distractions?" Connor had a sly look appear across his face.
"This new attitude of yours is going to get you in some serious trouble."
"What are you going to do? Ground me? Take away my phone?"
"I'll ban you from seeing Jude for a week." Adam tried to sound serious. Connor's heart stopped beating for a minute. That was the first time he heard Jude's name since the throw down that happened two weeks ago.
"Doesn't phase me. I already ruined things with him over two weeks ago, but I'll give you an "A" for effort." Adam stood stunned at Connor's confession. So that's what's been bothering him. Connor finally pushed himself off his bed. He walked pass Adam on his way to his car.
"Where are you going?" Adam called from the stairs.
"Out." He said shortly in a rude responding voice.

Connor sat in his car in an empty parking lot. He sat alone in the abandoned lot ever since he left his house. Ten text messages and six missed calls later, the sun was finally slowly setting over the California horizon.
