Life. Something god gives all of us. Whether it's good or bad, whether we archive our dreams or not. If we're part of the LGBTQIA Community or straight. Or even if we're black or white. It doesn't matter what our differences are or how we appear in life. Our lives can be cut off in the blink of an eye.
Everything I just wrote is true, and exactly what Jude was thinking as he stood stunned in the hospital waiting room.
The doctor stood in front of Stef, Lena, and Jude while Connor stood behind him with his arms wrapped around Jude's neck.
"We're not exactly sure how much longer Callie will be stable. We've fully and Successfully recovered her from her quick and painless seizure, but we think you should start thinking about other options." Doctor Kurt informed.
"What other options?" Lena sounded confused.
"Taking her off life support. Like we've said before, it's pretty unlikely that she'll wake up. We just think it's better to act now than later."
This was the last thing Judicorn heard through his heavy thoughts. His face formed the saddest expression in the world then feel to the ground. If it weren't for Connor holding him down, he would've ran. And Connor knew that, which is exactly why he kept his little Judicorn in a warm and tight embrace.
"Thank you doc, but I think we'll keep her on life support. I mean it is only her first night here and she's stable, so I think we should give her time." Stef informed. The words perked across Jude's face, but he still seemed sad.
"Your wish is my command. You folks can wait down here until we move Callie into ICU, but first we need you to sign some papers." Doctor Kurt gesturing to Stef and Lena to follow after him to the front desk.
Jude watched his moms then dragged Connor to the seats. Connor put his arm on the armrest shortly feeling something warm on top of hand. He looked to find Jude's hand in his. He let go of Jude's hand to lift the armrest and scoot in closer. Jude laid his head down on his shoulder.
"You didn't have to stay." Jude's words were quieter than earlier.
"Hey if I'm not willing to sit in a hospital waiting room with you at-" Connor turned his phone on for the time. The cutest picture of the couple shined through the screen. "1:30 in the morning then who is?"
~~~
Connor focused his eyes on Jude who had fallen asleep. He opened his mouth as he gave a big yawn. Stef shot her gaze behind her to the young couple shortly before standing up."Hey Bud, it was nice of you to stay with him, but I think you should go home and get some rest." She told Connor.
"But I don't want to leave him alone, not right now at least."
"You both had what seems like the most stressful day of your lives. Go home then come back in the morning." Stef patted his arm then returned to Lena.
"Judicorn." Connor whispered while he shook his boyfriend awake. Jude swiftly drew his head away from Connor's shoulder then yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Your moms want me to take you home."
"But I want to be here when Callie wakes up."
"I know, but your moms want you to go home then come back in the morning. Plus I bet your bed is way comfier than my shoulder." Connor smiled and Jude laughed.
"Just let me say bye to my moms." Jude jumped out of his seat. He scurried over to give his moms a goodbye hug. When he was done with all the mushy love towards his parents, he met Connor at the elevator.
~~~
Jude unlocked his house then pushed the door open. Connor trailing behind him while giving what seems like his 30th yawn for the night.
