"I told you to wake up an hour ago." Adam was standing with his arms crossed against the door frame.
"And I told you I'm not getting up." Connor mumbled into his pillow with his eyes closed.
"But don't you wanna open your gifts?"
"The only thing I want for Christmas is about six hundred miles away."
"Come open presents with us, it might make you feel better. After that you can lazy the day away until we go see your mom." Connor finally opened his eyes and rolled out his bed.
"Fine, but I'm only giving you an hour." Connor stumbled pass his dad on the way to the stairs. Adam, feeling accomplished with himself, followed after him.
Sitting in the living room for the two guys to return, Laura waited patiently on the couch. She smiled sweetly at her future step-son who only yawned in response.
"We have only have him for an hour, so let's start." Adam stated before kissing Laura. Connor, of course, sat on the floor while mental rolling his eyes.
"This is gonna be a long day." He thought to himself shortly before tossing his dad a present.
~~~
"That's all of them. I'm going back upstairs." Connor rose from the ground.
"Wait I have a special surprise for you." Adam smiled.
"Whatever it is I'm pretty sure I don't want it."
"I doubt that." Adam smirked. "Go out back."
"Dad."
"Just go." Connor sighed out deeply as he walked to the back door.
"What's the surprise?" Laura asked once Connor was far enough to not hear them.
"You'll see." Adam peered out the glass doors. "3...2...1-"
"JUDICORN!!!" Was all the couple heard through the thick doors.
"I'm guessing he found it." Laura laughed. Adam chuckled at his son's outburst of excitement.
--------(Let's back track a little)-------
Connor pushed open the sliding door releasing the morning air into the house. He walked out to a box almost the same height as him. It had a note that read:
I might be miles away right now, but I'll always find a way to be close to you.
Love, Judicorn❤️
Connor took the bow off the top of the present he stepped back. He watched as the box fell open and out popped...
"JUDICORN!!!" Connor had him in a hug that pulled him off the ground. "I thought you weren't coming back until tomorrow?"
"I was, but I convinced my moms to drive down here and surprise you. Do you really think I'd miss a Jonnor Christmas?"
"You could've told me you were coming."
"I wanted to surprise you."
"Speaking of surprises..." The taller boy smirked grabbing Jude's hand. "I got something for you."
Connor led Jude by hand all the way to his room. He made Jude sit on his bed while he went to the closet. Reaching on the top shelf, he pulled off an almost neatly wrapped gift. He flopped down next to him then moved the wrapped item into Jude's lap.
Carefully and slowly, Jude ripped off the wrapping paper. Buried in the paper was a medium size journal with a "J" on the cover.
"Open it and flip through some of the pages." Connor sort of demanded. Jude popped open the cover and read the first page.
