"Are you guys going to the carnival?" Adam asked the boys sitting on the porch.

"Yes." "No."

They both said their answers at the same time.

"No?" Jude asked.

"Yes?" Connor asked back.

Adam looked back and forth between the two before speaking.

"Well I'll leave you guys to decide. Just let me know what you're doing." Adam walked inside closing the door behind him.

Connor watched his dad before turning to Jude.

"I don't wanna go to the carnival."

"I don't care, you said I get to pick what we do today."

"I know, but I was kinda hoping you would just want to go to the beach or movies or a third thing that isn't the carnival."

"We always go to the movies and the beach. Beside the carnival is on the boardwalk which is right next to the beach." Jude stated.

"That's not the same."

Jude looked into Connor's eyes while making a pouty face.

"Please, for me. Your little Judicorn."

"How dare you use your judicorness on me." Jude kept the face as he scooted closer to Connor.

"You know you can't resist it."

Connor took a deep breath before looking away from Jude.

"Fine, I give up."

"Yay." Jude smiled. He let his smile grow a little as he stood up.

"Let's go before it gets dark." Jude reached his hands down for Connor to grab. Jude helped Connor up.

"It's already dark."

"Stop complaining and let's go." Jude grabbed Connor's hand and they started walking.
~~~
"Do we have to walk?" Connor whined.
"Can you fly?"
"No."
"Well then, I guess we have to walk."
"You owe me cotton candy."
"Fine."
"And ice cream?"
"Depends, are you gonna try to murder it this time."
"Depends, are you gonna make me go on the ferris wheel?"
"You already know the answer to that."
"But I don't like the ferris wheel."
"I know, but last time we went to a carnival you didn't wanna ride it. But this time It's gonna be different."
"I don't want it to be different."
"Different is a good thing." Jude stated.
"Not when you have to ride the ferris wheel."
"C'mon, the ferris wheel isn't that bad."
"Yes it is."
"In what ways is it bad?"
"It messes up my swoop."
"Your swoop will be fine."
"But what if it isn't? Do you know how long it takes for me to get my hair like this?"
"I don't know and I honestly don't care."
Their conversation continued as they walked through the neighborhood.
