"You can't leave me." Connor whined sitting up on his bed then dragged Jude into a warm embrace.

"I don't have a choice. My moms are making all of us go to Callie's for Christmas."

"But I've always been with my baby on Christmas."

"I know." Jude whispered into Connor's shoulder. "I know."

"Can we go to the mall?" Jude rose his head at the random outburst question.

"Why?"

"My dad told me I had to get Laura a present for Christmas, but I have no idea what to get her."

"And I have to go because...?"

"Because you always know what to get people. So, will you come?"

"Depends, can I wear your hoodie?"

"You're gonna try to wear it even if I say no so, go for it." Jude smiled doing a little silent cheer while Connor tried his best not to laugh at him.

"You're a dork."

"I'm not just a dork, I'm your dork."

"Come on." Connor ruffled his hands through Jude's hair before pulling him to his car.

"What type of things does Laura like?" Jude asked digging through some knick knacks on a shelf.

"I don't know." Connor spoke honestly.

"What's her favorite color?"

"I don't know."

"Does she like to read?"

"I don't know." He sighed.

"How old is she?" Jude questioned again finally picking up on the pattern of Connor's answers.

"I don't know! Like eighty something."

"You've known Laura for almost a year and don't know a single thing about her?"

"I don't know a lot of things about people because the only person I pay attention to is you."

"That's not a very good excuse. I mean how are you suppose to pick out a present for her if you don't know anything about her?"

"That's why I brought you along. Put your magical present picking skills to work and help me pick out a present." Jude sighed gently glancing around the room for ideas. His eyes came across something that seemed to glisten in his eyes.

"Well since you don't know anything about her, just get her a candle. Everyone loves candles right?"

"I just going to have to trust you on this." Jude rolled his eyes. They walked over to the candles then Connor picked out one he thought smelt good, then they paid and left the store.

"Let's go look at Christmas lights." Connor said in an enthusiastic manner.

"But its cold."

"Come on, it's the last fun Christmas thing I get to do with you before you leave." Connor gave a sad smile then lowered his head a little. Which in return, made Jude become sad.

"Then let's do it." Jude tried to push aside the fact that he was leaving. Connor glanced at him then smiled.
~~~
"I like these ones." Jude gasped out while looking over a bunch of lights on Christmas trees.
"Of course you do, they're blue." Connor stood behind Jude then swiftly wrapped his arms around his neck then slowly leaned his head against Jude's.
"Well the blue does make them ten times better, but I like them because they're not taller than me."
"But I love it when things are taller than your reach. It makes me feel useful."
"You wanna feel useful? Then buy me pancakes."
"Will you wrap the candle?" Connor smirk.
"I guess." Jude sighed out in a depressing sound.
"Then I guess I can buy you some pancakes." Jude released himself from Connor's grip.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Jude gesturing to the exit. Connor rolled his eyes and entwined his fingers with Jude's fingers then guided him to the nearest diner.
"And you promise to call me every day?" Connor interrogated Jude.
"Yep." Jude nodded.
"You sure?"
"Yea. I'll call you every day."
Connor eyes glittered with tears causing Jude to shed a tear or two. He used his sleeve to swipe Connor's tears away.
"Don't cry. You know that always makes me want to cry." Jude's eyes started to glow with tears then fall down his cheeks again. "I'll be back the day after Christmas then we still have a week before school and we can hang out then."
"But that's still like five days away." Connor whined.
"It will be like when you went to LA. Time will go by faster than you think." Jude's phone buzzed with a message. He took it out his pocket to see a text from his mom.
S: Hope you're leaving soon. Be home before it gets dark so we can leave."
"I gotta go." He hugged his tall boyfriend. "I love you." He managed to choke back his tears.
"I love you too, and you're not allowed to talk to over guys." Connor tried to speak in a serious voice as he cleared his Judicorn's cheeks of tears while his boyfriend tried not to laugh.
"I'm not making any promises."
"Judicorn."
"I'm kidding. With all the family time my moms are making us have, I probably won't get a chance to even leave."
"Good." Connor cupped his cheeks then went in for a kiss on his soft lips. "Now go before I start crying again." Jude gave him one last hug before running out the door.
--
"Wow! This is really shaping out to be a horrible Christmas." Connor sat down at the kitchen table.
"No it's not. Your mom thought it be a nice time to meet Laura, so she invited us all down." Adam said turning off the stove.
"Well I'm not going."
"If I have to go, so do you." Adam slid a plate in front of Connor then sat down next to him and ate. "And you have to get her a present."
"That makes everything a hundred times better."
----
Connor finished wrapping the present he got for his Judicorn. He turned on his tv then laid his head on a certain stuffed unicorn.
With a big yawn, his eyes shut without hesitation."
