"Please?" Connor asked.

"No." Jude responded. "Why do you want me to go anyways?"

"Because I love you."

Jude looked up from his book and gave Connor a "Are you being serious right now" look. Then looked back down.

"All the other guys on the team are bringing their girlfriends and I just don't wanna feel left out."

"So then, bring your girlfriend."

Connor walked over to Jude and took his book away, which caused him to look up.

"Hey!" Jude yelled.

"I'm being serious. Just say you'll come, for me."

Jude sighed then spoke.

"If I agree to come with you to your stupid baseball party, can I have my book back?"

Connor smiled then handed Jude his book back.

At the end of each school year, the baseball team hostess a party to celebrate all of the team's wins and it's players for that season. Jude honestly didn't wanna go but Connor had talked him into it.

Stef had gone with Lena to Washington DC to a teacher's convention. Which meant Jude had the whole house to his self.

Connor laid on Jude's bed while he continuously threw a soccer ball up in the air and caught it. Jude on the other hand was still sitting at his desk, reading his book.

"You know, I'm starting to think you're more interested in that book than me."

Jude just mumbled some words to himself and continued reading.

Connor looked over at the clock before he walked over to Jude and wrapped his arms around him.

"Judicorn, it's almost midnight and we have school tomorrow. I mean don't you think it's time to give the book some rest?"

"I would if I didn't have to finish it by Wednesday."

Connor could tell Jude was stressed out. He wished Jude didn't get so stubborn when it came to school. He let go of Jude and went to lay down.

Connor woke up around 6:45. He rolled over hoping to see Jude but he wasn't there. He looked over and saw Jude passed out on his desk.

"Judicorn, wake up. We gotta get ready for school."

Jude groaned then got up and ready. They both went downstairs for breakfast then headed out the door.

In nearly every class, Jude kept falling asleep. Luckily, Connor was there to try and keep him awake.

School got out around 2:30. Connor and Jude headed back to the foster's house. As soon as they got there, Jude headed straight to his desk and started reading.

"Jude, you're reading again?"

"I told you I have to finish the book by Wednesday and I'm not even half way through it yet."

Connor would've said something else but he knew he wouldn't be able to stop Jude from reading. Instead he just put on his back pack and left. Jude looked up for a split second before looking down at his book again.

Hours had passed and Jude was still reading his book. He was about to turn the page when he heard the front door open.

He knew Stef and Lena weren't suppose to be back until Sunday and all of his siblings were in school trying to take their finals. So who could it be.

He started to hear foot steps coming up the stairs, so he walked over to his bed and grabbed a pillow from his bed and stood behind the door. The door opened and Jude swung the pillow as hard as he could, smacking who ever was standing in the doorway.
