The bright New York sun shone through the window blinds hitting Jude in the face. His eyes slowly fluttered open. He snuck out of Connor's grip, then sat up and yawned. Next, he climbed off the bed then got dressed.
Jude wore black skinny jeans with black and white converse. For his top, he wore a black shirt. He moved to the bathroom where he attempted to fix his hair. When he was done, he put on his glasses and returned to the room.
Jude faintly smiled while he observed his sleeping boyfriend all cuddled tightly in the blankets. He gave one last look before running and jumping on top of him.
"Wake up sleepyhead!" Jude screamed landing on Connor. He felt Connor move underneath him, then watched as he opened his mouth to speak.
"There's an easier way to wake someone up that doesn't involve jumping on them." Connor had his eyes closed as he talked. "You could shake them, call their name, or even try saying good morning."
"I could do all those things, but where's the fun in that?" Jude states.
"Not crushing my lungs." Connor muttered to himself. He hauled his body to a sitting position. His face only centimeters away from Jude's. "Any specific reason you woke me at 6A.M. on a Saturday?"
"You're still on San Diego time, it's almost ten. Besides, it's your birthday. I had to wake you up early." Jude says cheerfully.
Connor's only response was yawning. Jude kept his smile while he crawled off the bed to his feet. He stuck his hand out for Connor to grab. "Come on, I have a full day of surprises for you."
"Of course you do." Connor mumbles grabbing Jude's hand and standing on the ground.
"Here, put this on." Jude gestured to the clothes he had laid on the chair next to the bed. "Come in the living room when you're done."
Connor observed the clothes. Jeans with a white shirt and his blue plaid hoodie. He sighed, then decided to put the clothes on.
After he finished putting his clothes on, Connor walked into the living room and saw Jude sitting on the couch, using his phone. He got the idea to scare the older boy.
Connor closed their bedroom door behind him, then stealthily snuck over to Jude. He was about two inch from the couch when he yelled "Boo!"
Jude screamed loudly followed by falling off the couch. He looked directly at Connor, who towered over him, before speaking. "You're an ass."
"I may be an ass," Connor helped Jude off the ground. "But I'm your ass."
"Can't argue with that." Jude says grabbing his phone from the ground. He entwined their fingers together, then proceeded to the door.
"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" Connor asked.
"Nope, but that reminds me.." Jude let go of Connor's hand and walked into the kitchen. He came back shortly and wrapped a piece of cloth around his eyes. "You gotta wear this."
"Why do all your surprises start with this?" Connor asked adjusting the blindfold.
"Because it makes the surprise ten times better." Jude says once he finishes tying the knot.
"If you're gonna drag me around all day, will you at least buy me breakfast?" Connor felt his hand being grasped by Jude.
"You can eat later." Jude said leading them out the door. "Besides, I don't want you to be able to throw up on me."
Outside there waited a taxi ready to take the boys to their first destination. Connor thought about all the possible things that could be going to do. Nothing came close to what he was about to witness.
