"I promise it's only for an hour." Connor said looking dead into Jude's eyes.
"I'll be ok, just go."
"Are you sure, I can tell my coach I have to miss practice."
"You can't miss practice, especially with the season starting next week. I'll be right here when you get back."
"K, love you and Happy Birthday." Connor kissed Jude's lips then walked out the door. Jude gave a soft smile then went up to his room.

Jude laid on his stomach writing in a notebook. His phone lit up with a text message.

Jude went back to his notebook. An hour passed then two, three, finally four. He had passed out on his bed.
Connor walked in to see his adorable boyfriend snoring. He gently ran his hand down the side of Jude's gave. Jude's eyes opened slightly. He sat up straight and rubbed his eyes.
Connor flopped his body down next to him then surrounded his around Jude, who leaned his head against his shoulder.
"Sorry you had to wait." Connor's voice was soft.
"It's fine."
"What do you wanna do?"
"I don't care."
Connor opened his mouth to speak, but clamped it closed when his phone rang. He slid it out his pocket to see a text from his dad.

"Laura invited us to lunch, meet us at 'Not A Burger Stand' in twenty minutes." -A
End of Convo
"Who was that?"
"My dad. Laura invited us to lunch and my dad wants me to go."
"Oh."
"I already missed four hours of your birthday and don't want to miss anymore. Come with me."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"Because I don't want your dad getting mad at you because you brought me along to a 'family' lunch." Jude tried to hold his laughter inside.
"She's not family."
"Yet."
"Judicorn."
"Ok I'm done." Jude yawned. "Now go, the sooner you leave the sooner you can come back and celebrate." Connor nodded then ran out the door. Jude sighed then flopped down on his stomach.

Connor used his fork to play with the food on his plate. He leaned against his hands, sighing quietly to himself. Laura noticed his depressing looking state.
"Connor, is something wrong?" She asked.
"Nothing that concerns you." Connor said kind of cold.
