It's Gonna be Okay

"I feel like you sleep in my bed more than I do." Connor acknowledged from the edge of his bed. Jude laid on his stomach hugging a pillow.

"That sounds like a you problem." Jude pulled the blanket over his body then closed his eyes.

"Hey if you're gonna hog my bed, the least you can do is talk to me."

"Fine, I'll talk and listen, but I'm not opening my eyes." Jude rolled onto his other side and hugged the pillow again. "Why didn't you go on the honeymoon trip with your family."

"First, they're not my family. Second, I wasn't allowed to. I'm not allowed to do anything because my dad doesn't think I'm actually graduating. Besides, I don't wanna be anywhere you're not."

"I'm still not opening my eyes." Jude said.

"Why do you come over if you're just going to sleep in my bed?" Connor sighed kind of annoyed.

"I already told you. Your bed is comfy and all I want to do is sleep." Jude said kicking Connor off the bed.

"You're lying." Connor says standing and moving to the side of the bed.

"No I'm not." Jude clarifies before turning to the other side.

"You sleep better in your own bed than you do in mine, and your bed is made out of memory foam, so there's no way my bed is comfier."

"Fine, I like your bed because it smells like you." Jude rolled back over and faced Connor. He avoided the standing boys eye contact. "I know it's weird, but sometimes if I have a bad day, it's like the only thing that comforts me."

"You know what else smells like me?" Connor says trying to cheer Jude up.

"What?"

"Me!" Connor exclaimed.

"Then come cuddle with me." Jude dragged Connor down onto the bed. Connor snuggled Jude tightly in his arms.

They sat in the dark room watching television. The pitter-patter coming from the rain hitting the window maxed out the sound of the tv.

"I'm cold." Jude announced. He shivered to empathize his point.

"You're always cold." Connor pulled the blanket over his boyfriend's body and hugged him tighter.

"I can't help it. Your room is just cold." Jude tried to defend himself.

"It's not just my room. It's my car, your car, your room, outside, inside-"

"Okay I get it." Jude interrupted. "I'm a frozen freak, you don't have to rub it in."

"You might be a frozen freak, but you're my frozen freak."

"Geez, thanks." Jude said sarcastically while rolling his eyes. Connor turned his head and kissed the other boy. He could feel a spark of electricity shoot through his body.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Connor asked. Jude nodded, then showed a scared expression. Connor noticed and spoke. "It's nothing bad, I swear."

"Then what is it?" Jude pulled himself out of Connor's grip.

"It's something really important and I've been keeping it inside for awhile. And it's okay if you don't feel the same way, but I really hope you do. Here it goes," Connor paused pretending to take a deep breath for a dramatic effect. "I love you Judicorn."
