"Do I have to wear a costume this year?" Jude questioned as he walked onto the porch of Connor's house.

"Do I love you?" Connor followed.

"But I don't want to be anything."

"That's not the Halloween spirit."

"I don't like Halloween, and you know that. Everyone dressing up and scaring each other is just stupid."

"Well this year I'm getting you in the spirit. Halloween's gonna be your favorite holiday."

"There is nothing in this world you can do to get me to like Halloween."

"Well I can try. Starting with scary movies." Connor said mischievously.

"I don't like scary movies."

"I know." Connor popped in a movie then turned out the lights. He plopped down on the living room couch. "Come cuddle with me."

Jude moved slowly toward Connor. He waited a second before letting his body be held by Connor.
~~~
Fifty-two minutes in, Jude had his head buried in Connor's shoulder. He tried to shield his eyes from watching anymore of the movie.
"You're messing all the best parts." Connor whispered.
"Can we watch a different movie?" Jude poked his eyes out.
"Nope." Connor placed his head on top of Jude's.
"I hate you." Jude pouted.
"I love you too." Connor smiled.
~~~
Connor laid back on the cushion couch. He looked over at the clock. It was a quarter past one in the morning. The movie had ended. Jude was lightly snoring on his chest.

"Jude." He said getting no response.

"Jude." Still nothing.

"Judicorn!" Connor whisper yelled.

"I'm going to slap you." Jude finally spoke with his eyes closed.

"You're so cute and aggressive when you're tired." Connor moved pieces of Jude's hair from his face.

"What do you want?" Jude shifted.

"Can we go to my room?" He nodded. Jude sat up and Connor got up. Jude stuck his arms out.

"Carry me?" Jude asked in an adorable voice.

"You got two legs that aren't broken."

"Always wanting me to do things the hard way." Jude stood and walked towards the stairs.
~~~
Jude sat working on homework at the library. He flipped through pages of chemistry work. His phone vibrated against the wooden table. It was a text from Stef.
"It's almost curfew, are you on your way?"
Jude pulled up the time. It was fifteen minutes until ten.
"Dammit." He said to himself.
"Yea sorry, lost track of time. Heading home now."
