Unforgiving Lie
Never thought you were the type,
To let something pass you by,
But i guess it's time,
To say to goodbye,
to end this unforgiving lie.
Just a thought,
thats been in my head,
that if i'm honest with you,
I would be dead,
and you would be spending the night,
In someone else's bed.
Its best if you leave me alone,
or I'll say someting I'll regret,
not something harsh or mean,
but a lie to give you the illusion,
that having me in your life,
is not an unwelcome intrusion.
so please go,
You've got somewhere to be,
and so have I,
with the man I'm meant to love,
and the woman whose going to be my new mother.
Never thought it would end this way,
But there's no time for pitying self - sorrow today,
go live your perfect life,
while I change mine,
and become the perfect wife.
It's finally time to let go,
my dear, my love,
Its time to say goodbye,
and end this unforgiving lie.
