What happens when you die?
When its finally time for everyone to mourn you and cry,
When you become a memory,
nothing real anymore,
as your body disappears,
and everything that told your life,
left behind a door, to a house,
that's had its last close,
at least to you.
Would you be sitting on the clouds all day,
or forever asleep with no dreams at bay,
would you be sitting in hell, waiting for the time you have to pay?
Maybe you could be standing in a line,
in a room floating above the stars, waiting to be remade,
Or had enlightenment, Nirvana,
finally come your way?
Would you, hopefully in my case,
be sitting in the corner of a room,
watching everyone's faces as they say,
their last goodbyes and farewell's to you.
I would sit there and I would wait,
I would watch my children, my friends and my lovers,
carry on with life and once they have all died and joined me,
I would safely see them to the other side,
whether to the clouds or enlightenment.
Then and only then, would I truly die.
