The next morning, Sam woke up later than usual. Slowly opening her eyes, she looked around and then suddenly came around. Her eyes widened and she jumped out of bed. Running out of the RV, she made it just in time to see Daryl getting in the van.

She ran as fast as she could and reached him just in time.

"Be safe." She panted.

Daryl gave her a rare smile and nodded his head. She wrapped her arms around him, feeling him tense but soon relax.

"Ye too." He whispered before letting go of her.

She smiled at him as he climbed into the van.

She watched as they drove away and she sighed. Turning around, Andrea was stood behind her.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"For what?" Sam asked confused.

Andrea laughed lightly and put a hand on Sam's arm.

"For taking care of my sister."

"She took care of me." Sam replied showing Andrea her hand.

Andrea gently took her hand in hers and inspected it.

"What happend?" She asked.

Sam just shrugged.

"Got some glass stuck in it."

Andrea raised her eyebrows and chuckled. She wrapped her arms around Sam in a tight hug.

"Thank you again." She whispered in her ear.

Amy soon joined them and Andrea pulled away as Amy glared at her older sister.

"Carol says it's time to do the laundry." Amy told Andrea.

Andrea nodded her head and turned to face Sam.

"Why don't you join us Sam?" Andrea offered, earning more glares from Amy.

"Sure." Sam smiled.

The trio walked down the river, and saw Jacqui and Carol already making a start on washing the clothes.

Andrea sat next to Carol and Amy sat next to Andrea and then Sam next to Amy.

They washed the clothes in silence, until Shane and Carl started to yell in a playful way.

"Are you alright?" Sam whispered to Amy who just mumbled a "I"m fine."

Sam sighed and carried on washing the clothes.

"I sure miss my washing machine." Carol sighed.

"I miss my coffee machine." Jacqui chimed in.

"Ugh. I miss texting." Amy groaned.

"What do you miss Sam?" Andrea asked.

Sam thought for a moment, all she could think about in that moment was Riley. And sure as Hell didn't miss her.

"My family." She lied. Well it was only a half life. She didn't miss her family, only her Mother.

"I miss my vibrator." Andrea chuckled.

The girls burst into laughter and Sam smiled at Andrea who stuck her tongue out at her.

"Me too." Carol said looking at Andrea.

The girls started to laugh again, but the laughter soon came to a stop when Ed marched down.

"What's so funny?" Ed demanded.

"Just swapping war stories Ed." Andrea sighed.

He brought his ciggerette to his lips and then released a big air of smoke.

"You'd get my cleaning done quicker if you'd stop talking." He growled.

Andrea shook her head and stood up with his shirt in her hand.

"You don't like how I do your laundry? Do it yourself!" She snapped as  she threw his shirt at him.

He threw it back.

"That's a woman's job. Carol come on." He said as he pulled Carol up roughly.

"Let go of her. We've seen the bruises Ed. She's not going anywhere with you." Andrea stood up to him and gently grabbed Carol's arm and pulled her so she was behind her.

"Carol come on now." He said growing more angry.

By now the rest of the girls had stood up and were standing in front of Carol, protecting her.

"Ed just go. She's not going with you." Amy spoke up.

"You don't get a say little girl." Ed smirked.

"Don't speak to her like that." Andrea warned as she pushed Ed.

Amy stood in front of Andrea, and Ed snapped. He slapped Amy across the face and went to punch her, but a kick to the knee stopped him.

Sam began to punch his face. She went to kick him but he grabbed her leg and pushed her down. He straddled her and began to hit her.

A sick smile spread across his face as he brought his hands to her neck and began to choke her. His body crushing her tiny body.

She scratched as his hands and arms, trying to pull them off of her, but nothing worked. He was just too strong.

Amy started to cry for Sam, the rest of the girls screamed at Ed and begged him to stop.

"Ed! Ed let go of her, I'm coming with you. Let's go." Carol tried. But he just ignored her as he choked the life out of Sam.

As Sam started to get weaker she glanced to look at Amy. She was sobbing as Andrea held her.

Suddenly a weight had been lifted off her and she gasped for air. She just layed there, too weak to move.

She turned her head and saw Shane beating Ed to a bloody mess.

"Shane stop." Andrea spoke calmly.

"You touch any of these girls again. You touch Carol, you touch Sophia again, I will not stop next time." He paused before punching him once more. "I will not stop. Understand?" Shane growled.

He quickly stood up and rushed over to Sam's side who began to slowly close her eyes.

"Sam. Sam stay with me." Shane said as he gently tapped her cheek.

She opened her eyes and looked towards Amy who was still crying in Andrea's arms.

"So...Tired...." She mumbled before her eyes closed again.

"No. No Sam you gotta keep your eyes open." Shane said.

But it was no use. Sam had already passed out. Shane sighed and gently picked her up bridal style and brought her back to camp. He gently layed her on the bed. Amy followed with the first aid kit and began to tend to her cuts and bruises.

"Why do you have to be a hero?" Amy whispered angrily to Sam.

Sam might be a hero, but who will save the hero when she needs saving?
