Daryl, Rick and Glenn were told by Maggie that Hershel used to drink quite a lot and that he would probably be at the bar in town. They were driving down the road and all the way there, Daryl was bobbing his knee up and down and biting his nails.

"Daryl, calm down. She'll be fine." Glenn said from the backseat.

"This is the second time I've let 'er get 'urt." He replies.

"It wasn't your fault." Rick said as he parked the car.

They quickly got out of the car and scoped out the area. Daryl walked into the bar, crossbow raised and saw Hershel sat at the bar drinking whiskey.

"Hershel."

"Hello Rick."

"You need to come back now, Jimmy..He..He shot Sam. She needs you. Please." Rick begged.

Hershel shook his head and took a sip of his drink.

"Can't a man enjoy a quiet drink at his local bar?"

"Hershel, it's not safe out here. Please come back with us." Glenn tried.

Hershel jumped off his stool and walked to the other side of the bar and took a bottle of whiskey and poured three glasses.

"Cheers." He smiles sliding the glasses towards the men.

Rick ran a hand down his face and shook his head.

"We didn't come for a drink. We came to bring you back home. To safety and so you can help Sam. Without you, she'll die."

Daryl glared at Hershel and quickly looked down at the glasses on the table. He reached for one and quickly grabbed the glass and downed the alchohol in one go.

Glenn looked at him and Daryl just shrugged his shoulders.

Rick sat down next to Hershel and sighed.

He opened his mouth to speak but the door burst open.

"Well shit. Looks like someone beat us to it." A man with a scruffy beard chuckled.

Daryl raised his crossbow and Rick raised his gun.

"Who the fuck are you?" Rick asks cocking his head to the side.

"Who the fuck are YOU?" The man asks raising his own gun.

Back At The Farm

Maggie was trying her best to stop the bleeding on Sam's shoulder, but it seemed that Jimmy had managed to shoot an artery, if Sam was to wake up she could go into shock, her blood preassure could rise, many things could happen, maybe some of these things wouldn't happen, but all Maggie could think about was all the bad things. Her hands were shaking as she pressed firmly on the wound.

"Maggie you're shaking." Beth whispers.

Maggie nods and lets out a sniffle, she was trying not to cry.

"Here." Beth says putting her hands over the wound, replacing Maggie's. Beth added a little more preassure than Maggie did and eventually the bleeding stopped.

"We need to bandage this up so it doesn't get infected, once Dad comes back and Shane and Otis come back he can patch her up. Like he did before." Beth says reaching for the bandages.

She slowly sits Sam up and wraps the bandage around her shoulder and down just below her breasts.

Maggie wipes her eyes and places a hand on her forhead.

"I don't know what's wrong with me...I've done this so many times with the animals." She sighs.

"You've never done this with a person before so it's a bigger job. It's a bigger responsibility, but don't worry she'll be fine." Beth smiles.
