Chapter Fifty

Sam's POV

"I'd love to stay and show you around, darlin' but I got somewhere to be...But yer a big, tough girl." Merle says before walking away from me, leaving me all alone in this new world of mine.

I sigh and turn to walk in the other direction but end up bumping into a man with his arms full of books.

"Oh! I'm so sorry." He says quickly pushing the books further into his grasp.

"No, no. I'm sorry." I say with a smile.

He smiles and looks me up and down and his expression turns into one of confusion.

"You're new here, aren't you?"

"Yep. Just got here..."

"Ah. Well...Welcome. I'm Milton." Milton says holding his hand out slightly.

I laugh nervously and shake his hand. He nods his head and walks into The Govoner's home..Or office..Or whatever.

I walk along the streets of Woodbury and watch as couples walk hand in hand. Children running around after a ball.

I lock eyes on the blonde from before, she doesn't see me but her dark skinned friend does and she nods her head in my direction and I quickly look away and carry on walking.

There's something about her...I honestly can't remember what...I'm trying my hardest but nothing is coming. I feel tears come to my eyes and I let out a groan of fustsration and slap the nearest wall with my hand.

I just want to remember!!

"Woah, see you haven't changed." The blonde laughs.

I give her a confused look...

We know eachother?

She stops laughing and studies my face and she shifts her weight on to her right side and crosses her arms.

"Sam?"

"Yeah?"

"What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing! Who are you?"

Her eyes go wide and her friend tries to hide a smile.

"You know who I am! Remember Amy?!" She asks, anger could be heard as she says the name Amy.

I shake my head slowly and she puts her hands behind her head.

"Yes. Yes you do." She says nodding her head.

"I don't...I'm sorry."

She pushes me against the wall and I flinch. What have I done to her? Did I hurt Amy?

"YOU KILLED AMY!!" She yells in my face.

"Who's Amy?" I ask shaking a little.

She growls and slaps me. My face stings and her friend roughly pulls her away as tears fall from my eyes. As the blonde bitch is pulled away I fall to my knees clutching my face.

"THA HELL IS GOIN' ON HERE?!" I hear Merle yell. I feel someone put a hand on my and I know it's Merle.

"She killed Amy and she's acting like she doesn't remember anything." She snaps.

Merle stands up and I can tell from his posture that he's beyond pissed.

"Maybe if ya knew the facts ya wouldn't be so harsh. She doesn't remember much coz she banged her head. She lost her memory! Found her walkin' around like one of those things." Merle growls.

I look up at the blonde and she looks shocked at herself.

She walks closer to me and puts her hand out, I flinch but I feel someone wrap their hand around my wrist. I open my eyes and see the blonde smiling at me sadly.

She pulls me into a hug and she cries.

"I'm sorry." She whispers.

She pulls away and wipes her tears and walks back to stand next to her friend.

"My name's Andrea...And this is Michonne." Andrea says gently placing her hand on Michonne's upper arm.

I space out and memories come flooding back.

Pictures of another blonde. Not Beth, or Andrea..But...Of her sister...Amy.

When we first met.

When we swam in the lake.

When we almost kissed.

When I watched her die in front of me...

"Sam?!" Merle yells snapping me back to reality.

"I remember..." I whisper.

Andrea kneels in front of me and places a hand on my shoulder.

"I..I remember Amy." I say as a single tear rolls down my cheek.

The first girl, since Riley I had gotten close to...I remember how blue her eyes looked in the light of the fire..The moon and the sun. They sparkled like the ocean as the sun's reflection danced on the waves.

I remember how much I wanted her. How I almost got her.
How I lost her in the space of a few minutes.

All I can think about is Ariana.

I need to get back to her before it's too late...I can't lose her. Not like I did Amy. No way.
