Chapter Eighty Seven

The group had been trapped for days now, but little did the people outside know, the group were planning their escape. Using only the objects on themselves, they were creating their own weapons.

Merle grew angry at the fact they had ripped the blade from his frame, he was going to need a new one.

"Someone's coming." Tara said quickly.

Everyone stood at the enterance, waiting to attack.

But the door never opened, except for above them. Everyone quickly looked up as an object was thrown in.

"MOVE!" Abe shouted and everyone got down and covered their heads, but it was no use.

A blinding light filled the cart and so did smoke.

All the men were taken from the cart and blindfolded, their arms tied behind their back.

Ellie stood up quickly and banged on the door weakly.

"Where did they take him?! Why didn't they take us all?!" Ellie growled banging on the door again.

"Calm down." Sam replied groaning slightly, her head was killing her.

"Don't tell me to calm down. You have your girlfriend."

"Ellie!" Rosita hissed.

Ellie rolled her eyes and carried on banging on the door.

"Ellie I have a fucking headache, please stop. Nobody is coming." Sam sighed as Beth crawled over and wrapped her arms around Sam.

"WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Ellie smirked and banged louder.

"Ellie stop. Right now." Lauren sighed standing up and pulling her away from the door.

Ellie roughly pushed Lauren away and threatened to hit her.

"Don't fucking touch me." She warned.

They all sat down and remained quiet, Maggie, Sasha and Rosita continuing to prepare their weapons just in case.

Suddenly a huge explosion could be heard outside and the ground shook.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" Lisa yelled standing up quickly and looking through the small gap. "Shit." She muttered.

Walkers were quickly filling the courtyard and surrounding the cart, some walking past it some walking into it.

"What are we going to do?" Beth asks walking over to her sister and holding on to her tightly.

Sam didn't care too much because she was happy they were together again, but she did feel a little sad. Lauren sensed this walked over to Sam and wrapped her arm around her tightly and layed her head on her shoulder.

Beth glanced over but said nothing, she would deal with Lauren later.

The door flew open and Rick was standing there, a gun in his hands.

"Go. Go!" He said quickly and everyone jumped out, using the weapons to kill the walkers.

They reunited with the men and everyone was fine, except for Glenn who seemed a little shook up.

A walker was about to take a bite out of Lauren, but Sam got there first, pushing it away and using the blade she had made to put it down.

Lauren gave her a smile and Sam nodded her head.

The group made their way past the walkers and out of the broken fences. They ran through the woods, far away from the walkers.

Lauren tripped over a large rock, falling to the ground in pain she gripped her ankle.

"Lauren!" Lisa cried and went to her sisters side.

Rosita knelt down and inspected her ankle and gave her a small smile.

"I think you just sprained it."

"Can you walk?" Rick asks rubbing his out of control beard.

With the help of Lisa, Lauren stood up and tried to walk but cried out in pain nearly falling again.

Sam walked over and wrapped an arm around her waist and the other went under her legs and picked her up gently.

Beth glared at them, feeling her blood boil.

Just as they were about to walk away, a familar figure slowly approached them.

Daryl turned around and he ran towards her and hugged her.

"Ye...Ye okay! Ye alright!" He said quickly and Carol nodded her head, handing him his crossbow back.

She held out Sam's crossbow too which Daryl also took because of Sam carrying Lauren.

She had a bag of weapons around her too and she gave it to Rick who smiled and gave her a quick hug.

She looked at the group and looked at the new people and smiled, her smile soon faded as she realised Sophia wasn't with them.

"Sophia.." She whispered feeling her heart break.

"She'll be fine. We'll find her." Rick said.

Carol nodded her head and told everyone to follow her. They did and as they walked through the woods, Lauren snuggled her head into the crook of Sam's neck, making Beth even more angry.

They walked through a clearing and ended up on a road which they walked down, no walkers in sight.

A small house came into a view and a figure walked out of the house. He turned around and waved.

Daryl, Ellie and Sasha ran towards the house tears in their eyes.

Tyreese was stood there holding on to little baby Ava.

Ellie gently took her from Tyreese and held her baby close. Daryl kissed the top of her head and smiled.

Sasha and Tyreese shared a long hug and they laughed.

As the rest of the group joined, Sam felt her heart drop.

She had her family back except for one person, Sophia.

She promised herself she was going to find Sophia. She would bring that little girl home safe to her family.
