Sam storms over to Daryl who is sat on a tree stump, sharpening one of his arrows.
Sam sits down in front of him and snatches the arrow out of his grasp.
"Give it back." He growls.
Sam sets it down next to her and slaps Daryl across the face.
"The hell wa' tha' for?" He says angrily as he places a hand on his cheek.
"For making Ellie cry. What the fuck is going on Dixon?"
"None of yer business." He mumbles.
Sam sighs and shakes her head, she looks across and sees Beth with an arm around Ellie who has her head in her hands.
"Daryl talk to me. Please. Don't shut me out." Sam begs.
"It's nothin'."
"If it's nothing then why is Ellie in tears?" Sam asks pointing to the two girls.
"We did stuff, it was a mistake, she wants a relationship. I ain't ready for tha' kinda commitment. Not yet." He sighs.
"Just talk to her about it. Don't break her heart. If you like her..Then tell her, but tell her you're not ready for anything serious. Don't be a douche. That's Merle's job." Sam laughs.
Daryl runs a hand through his hair and sighs. He looks down playing with his fingers.
"You think he's still alive?"
"I can't tell you he is. I also can't tell you he's not. We just gotta hope he is." Sam smiles sadly.
Daryl looks up and gives Sam a smile.
"Yer right. Ye know somthin'? Fer a sixteen year old...Yer pretty smart."
"I'm also gorgeous, friendly, lovable...Hmm what else? Oh I'm an extremely good listener. I'm good with advice. I can sing. Rap. Wrestle bears. Hunt. Use any weapons. I'm a great kisser-."
"Alrigh' alrigh' I get it. Yer better than everyone else." Daryl chuckles.
"Damn right." Sam laughs.
They stay in silence until Sam speaks again.
"Seriously though Daryl, even though I'm not any of those things...I am a good friend..Atleast that's what I've been told in the past...So if you ever wanna talk I'm here. Now." She says standing up. "Go get your woman..Or friend...Or whatever...Just whatever makes you happy."
Daryl nods his head and stands up, before he can walk over to Ellie, Dale and T-Dog walk up to him.
"In the house in an hour." Dale says.
"Why?" Sam asks cocking her head to the side.
"We're holding a vote on weather to keep that little bastard alive or not." T-Dog says jerking his head in the direction of the barn.
"We'll be there." Sam nods her head and looks at Daryl who just shrugs his shoulders and walks off to find Ellie.
"I don't understand why we have to vote, on a life. A human life. One of our own." Dale says shaking his head.
"But he's not one of our own. His men did awful things to girls, to girls my age. Maybe even younger. In the old world we lived in they'd be put in jail, when they deserved to die. People like that don't deserve to live. It's sick. Especially when they do that stuff to young children. I'll tell you my vote now. I vote we kill him. Slowly and painfully." Sam says before walking away.
She walks back to the house and sees Beth sitting on a chair on the porch. The way the sun setting in front of them, is something magical.
Sam slowly walks up the steps and Beth smiles.
"How'd it go with Ellie?" Sam asks leaning against the pillar.
"It went good. She said that she thought Daryl wanted something serious, so she told him she wanted to be more than friends when she didn't. When Daryl said they were a mistake it broke her heart because she likes him a lot..She's just not ready. They've been through so much and she's not ready for anything serious just yet."
Sam laughs and sits so she's on the fence on the porch and leans her back against the pillar.
"Just like Daryl."
"You think they'll work it out then?"
"I hope so. But I also hope they get together. They make a cute couple." Sam says with a wink.
Beth laughs and shakes her head. She looks at Sam and tilts her head to the side.
"Are you ready for a relationship?" Beth asks.
Sam stays quiet for a minute, looking straight ahead, until she turns her head to face Beth and shrugs her good shoulder.
"I don't know....Nobody has caught my attention in that way yet..."
"Oh." Beth says.
"I mean..Maybe a certain farmers daughter has..." Sam says slowly.
"Oh really?" Beth says sitting up.
"Uh huh. She's got beautiful eyes...An amazing smile...A really attractive laugh."
"Tell me more about the farmers daughter."
"I want to run my hands through her hair...Maggie sure has beautiful hair." Sam smirks.
"Maggie?! Really?! My sister?" Beth gasps.
"Naaaaa. She's with Glenn and I'm happy for them, and like I said. Nobody has caught my attention yet. Plus I'm loving the single life. I'm not gonna be with someone just because it's the end of the world."
Beth nods her head and hears voices inside, discussing Randall.
"You going in?" Beth asks.
"Nope. Already told Dale my vote...Might stay out here and watch the sunset." Sam says as she moves her head to watch the sun go down.
"Can I join you?" Beth asks shyly.
Sam laughs and turns her head to face Beth.
"You're here now aren't you?"
Beth looks down, until she feels a something underneath her chin. It forces her head back up, she sees Sam kneeling down, studying her.
"You're so stupid Greene....But you make it cute." Sam laughs sitting down next to Beth.
"You think I'm cute?" Beth asks looking at Sam.
"I didn't say that...Not that you're not cute...You are but I didn't mean your lo-."
"Sam you're rambling again...It's fine I know what you meant." Beth smiles resting her head on Sam's shoulder, which was thankfully her good one.
Sam puts her arm around her.
"Just shut up and watch the sunset." She mumbles.
