"Ready?" Rick asks the small group of people with him.
Rick, Sam, Glenn, Maggie, Daryl and Ellie were inside the court yard. In a circle formation taking out the walkers.
Carl, Carol and Sophia were in the guard towers, taking out the walkers that got too close to them that they couldn't get to.
Beth, Lori and Hershel used their knives to take out the walkers near the fence.
Rick's group quickly made their way through the court yard, getting closer and closer to the enterance of the prison...That was until two walkers wearing body armor shuffled over.
Glenn raised his machete bringing it down on the walkers head. Nothing.
Ellie pushed the walker away and broke from the formation, bringing her knife under the helemt and through it's jaw to it's skull.
The walker fell, dead.
"Did you see that?!" She asks turning to the group with a crazy look on her face.
Rick nods his head as Glenn does the same with the other walker.
A walker wearing a yellow dress walks over and Rick put's it down with ease.
The rest of the group make their way towards Rick and Lori pushes some of her hair back and sighs.
"That was a civillian. This place must have fell early...The inside...It could be packed with walkers."
Rick nods his head slowly and wipes his machete with a rag
"I know it looks bad, but we have to push a little further. This place could be a gold mine. Food, shelter, a safe place. They could have medical equipment and an armory. We just have fight." Rick says.
Everyone nods their heads and get's into formation. Except for Lori, Carl and Sophia.
Everyone else goes into the circle formation and Carl and Sophia hang back with Lori in the middle. Protecting her and the unborn baby.
Rick pushes open the doors and quickly goes back into formation expecting walkers, instead the cell block is empty to much of the delight of the group.
Daryl walks over to a table and throws something at Rick. He catches the item and grins.
"Keys."
Everyone looks around the cell block and decide to pick their cells.
"Hell no. I ain't sleepin' in there like some caged animal. 'M takin' the perch." Daryl says as he waits for everyone to pick their cells so he can take a spare matress.
Sam chuckles to herself and walks into the cell that's close to her.
She opens the cell door and walks over to the bed and sits down on it. She cocks her head slightly and then lays down.
"Wow...For a prison bed this sure is comfy." She sighs happily.
Beth stands by the door and looks around nervous, holding her things. Sam leans her head back and notices Beth.
"You okay?"
"Yeah..."
"You wanna stay with me?"
"Can I?"
"Only if you take top bunk." Sam says as she sits up and walks over to Beth and takes her things out of her hands and gently puts them down in a corner.
"Why?" Beth asks confused.
Sam turns to face her and crosses her arms.
"Well...What if walkers breach and they come in here? They'll get me. Not you."
"That's awful." Beth gasps.
"Could happen though." Sam shrugs.
"I hope it doesn't." Beth says walking over to Sam and wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug.
"Even if a walker does come in here. It won't kill me...Because I'm a survivor." Sam smirks.
Beth leans back slightly and shakes her head.
"You keep reminding me of that...You might jinx yourself."
"Nope. I won't." Sam smiles.
Beth rolls her eyes and let's go of Sam.
They both walk out of the cell and Rick is preparing everyone to go and explore more.
"Sam I want you to stay here. If anything happens I trust you to get everyone else to safety." Rick says handing her a spare gun.
"I'm coming too." She growls pushing the gun away.
Ellie nudges Sam slightly and gives her a "if you don't stay I will kick your ass." Look.
Sam sighs and takes the gun and puts it down the back of her jeans.
Rick and the small group he's taking walk out of the cell block and out into whatever awaits them.
Sam walks back to her cell and lays down on her bed and closes her eyes.
She hears someone walk into the cell and she feels like someone is standing over her. She opens one eye and sees Beth standing there.
"What?" Sam asks.
"How am I supposed to get up on to my bed?"
"Are you really that stupid? Just jump up." Sam laughs.
Beth gives a nervous laugh and jumps up but loses her footing. Sam reaches out and manages to pull her onto her bed before she fell on her ass.
Beth pushes herself up leaning over Sam who has her arms around Beth's waist.
"How'd you do that?" Beth asks.
"Magic." Sam whispers and Beth laughs.
Some hair falls into Beth's eyes and Sam gently pushes it away, her hand lingering on Beth's cheek and gently strokes it.
"I hope my Dad will be okay." Beth sighs.
"I'm sure he will be." Sam whispers.
Beth smiles and rolls off of Sam and makes herself comfy on the bed.
Sam feels a little sad that Beth moved and she doesn't know why, maybe it's because Beth was keeping her warm.
"Oh...Oh...Oh fuck...Shit..." Lori cries.
Sam quickly jumps off the bed and rushes to Lori who is clutching her stomach.
"Lori?! You alright?!" Sam asks wrapping an arm around Lori and helping her sit down.
"Just the baby kicking too hard. Don't worry hun." Lori smiles squeezing Sam's hand.
Sam hoped that was all it was....She didn't want to lose anyone else...Even if that someone else was unborn...It was still family to her...
