Chapter Eighty Eight

Everyone had gathered their things, and they were now on their way looking for a new place to call home. Far away from Terminus as possible. Everyone had a smile on their face, except for Carol, Carl, Rick and Beth.

Carol had lost her daughter. Not knowing if she's alive or dead is killing her.

Rick and Carl, as much as they're happy for Daryl and Ellie, they couldn't help but feel heartbroken. Carl had lost his Mother and Baby Sister. Rick had lost his Wife and Baby Girl, and here Daryl, Ellie and Ava are a happy little family. As for Beth, she was just plain pissed off with Lauren. She knows what she's doing. It happend with Riley.

"You can put me down now, I might be able to walk." Lauren says sensing Beth glaring at her.

Sam shakes her head and holds on to Lauren tighter.

"You need to rest it, you don't wanna do any further damage do you?"

Lauren shook her head and sighed, she knows what Beth is thinking, what Maggie and Ellie are thinking, but she has no interest in Sam. She just wants to be friends...But even if she tried to explain that they wouldn't believe her.

"Alright, we'll rest her for a few hours." Rick announces and looks to Sam. "Give Sam a break." He chuckles.

Sam laughs a little and gently sits Lauren down on the ground, resting her against a tree.

Sam walks over to Beth and wraps her arms around the blondes waist. Beth doesn't bother removing her arms so she just looks away.

"Beth?" Sam asks confused and moves her head to look at Beth's face.

Beth ignores her as tears form in her eyes.

"Beth look at me." Sam whispers.

Beth slowly looks at Sam as the tears fall down her face. Sam's eyes soften and she quickly wipes the tears away.

"What's wrong?"

"Do you love me?" Beth asks her voice shaking.

"Of course I do."

"You're not leaving me for anyone else are you?" Beth whimpers.

Sam knew what she meant by that. She means Lauren.

"Beth Greene, I love you, and only you. You're the only girl I want." Sam smiles and Beth manages a small one.

Sam pulls Beth closer and kisses her slowly. Beth wraps her arms around her girlfriends neck and smiles into the kiss.

"Ain't they just perfect?" Merle smiles watching them.

Lisa nods her head and so do Ellie and Daryl.

"Seems nearly everyone is loved up." Lisa says pointing to each couple.

Glenn and Maggie.

Sasha and Bob.

Daryl and Ellie.

Beth and Sam.

She looks at Merle and kisses his cheek lightly, Merle quickly snaps his head towards Lisa, his mouth open slightly.

Lisa reaches into her boot and pulls out a blade and attaches it to Merle's brace.

"I stole it from the bag." She winks and Merle smirks.

Suddenly a man's cries of help catches everyone's attention.

Carl takes off running in the direction of the man.

"Come on! We gotta go help him!" He shouts.

Rick shouts for him to come back but he doesn't listen. Everyone, except for Lauren runs after him.

Sam helps Lauren stand up and picks her up bridal style. Beth still feels scared but she knows Sam would never cheat...Atleast she hopes she won't.
