Chapter Ninety Three

"So what's the plan?" Ari asks.

Sam looks up and slowly stands up, Beth helping her when she wobbles slightly. She smiles at the blonde and then walks over to the car the two men were in.

She snoops around, hoping to find something that will help them find Sophia.

"Aha!" She exclaims reaching down to the floor and pulling out a map.

A red circle and a line leading up to it were drawn on the map.

"Whatcha find?" Ari asks walking over.

Sam holds out the map and Ari studies it.

"That must be where they came from. Where they have Sophia and where they were taking you." She says looking at Beth.

Beth walks over and gets in the back seat and Sam settles in the front.

"Woah, shouldn't we go tell everyone else?" Ari asks thinking about Carol.

Sam shakes her head slowly and messes around with the seat, she pulls out a gun from underneath and smiles.

"We'll be wasting time. They might hurt her, or they already might have." Beth says.

Ari sighs and walks over to their car and gets their weapons. She hands Sam her crossbow who places it on her knee. She hands Beth the gun who checks to see how many bullets are left.

"Empty." She huffs.

Ari climbs into the drivers seat but someone quickly opens the door and pulls her out roughly.

Sam raises her crossbow but slowly lowers it.

"Fuck sake Daryl. I nearly put an arrow through your head."

Daryl smirks and puts his head into the car and sees Beth.

"Get out. Ye got Beth. Time ta go back."

Sam shakes her head and hands him the map and the pic of Sophia.

"The two men that took Beth, they have Sophia. We think this is the place."

"What if it's not?"

"We have to try and find her Daryl. For Carol."

He looks into Sam's pleading eyes and sighs.

"Merle, take Lauren 'nd Beth back." He says moving his head out of the car.

"What? No I'm staying!" Beth argues.

"Maggie is worried about ye. Ye will be safer back at tha church."

"He's right. This could be a trap. I want you safe." Sam says as she steps out of the car and opens Beth door and gently pulls her out.

"But...What if you get hurt? Or..Die.." Beth whimpers.

"I won't. I promise."

Beth cries as she wraps her arms around Sam's neck and rests her head on her shoulder. Sam wraps her arms around Beth and holds her tight.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Beth pulls away from the hug but keeps her arms around Sam. She leans in and kisses Sam slowly.

"Stay safe." Sam tells Beth who nods her head and wipes her eyes.

Sam waves to Merle and Lauren. She's confused why Lauren is here, mainly because of her ankle but she doesn't let it bother her too much.

"Let's go." Daryl says and they get in the car.

"Wait." Sam says. "Do you have a map?" She asks.

Daryl looks to Merle who looks around in the other car and pulls out a map.

He walks over and gives Sam it and she studies it before looking around for a pen. Luckily she finds one and she draws on it.

She hands it back to Merle.

"That's where we'll be. If we're gone for too long come and get us." She says.

"Okay boss." He chuckles and folds it, putting it in his back pockets.

They says their goodbyes again and Sam quickly climbs into the car next to Daryl and Ari gets in the back seat.

Daryl starts the car and Sam looks through the side mirror, Merle has his arm around Beth who is crying. Sam wipes a tear away as she watches Beth get further and further away.

"I promise.." She whispers reminding herself of the promise she made to Beth minutes ago.

"I fucking promise."
