The steady sound of beeping is all that was heard in the room. The beeping started to get faster and faster.

"Nurse!"

The nurses rushed in the room and began to check the patient over.

"Get Doctor Caleb, she's waking up."

Sam began to panic as her eyes snapped opened and she looked around. Unable to talk for a tube was in her mouth helping her breathe. Her eyes landed on a familiar blonde and she felt her heart leap.

The tube was quickly removed as Doctor Caleb walked in.

"Mom." She said, her voice coming out hoarse.

"I'm here sweetie." Her Mother cried.

Sam's eyes filled with tears as Doctor Caleb checked her over.

"Do you know what happend?" He asked.

She shook her head, eyes still on her Mother. She couldn't be in Heaven. This was real life.

She felt her heart break at all the friends she had made in her dream...They weren't real. Beth Greene didn't exist. The Dixons didn't exist. Ellie didn't exist. Nobody did...Except Riley, Shane and the Grimes family.

"I'm going to be honest with you darling. Riley gave you an overdose."

Sam's eyes filled with fear as she began to think about that evil girl and what she did in her dream.

"You've been out for three months. The Doctors said you'd wake up sooner..But you got more sick and so they induced you in a coma. It was your best shot at living."

Sam turned her attention to the door where she began to cry even more. There in front of her was Shane Walsh holding some flowers.

"Shane." She cried weakly.

"Hey." He said and quickly walked over to her side once the doctor moved. "It's alright. Daddy's here."

"Dad?"

"Yeah?"

She weakly sat up, ignoring the doctors and nurses telling her not to and wrapped her arms around Shane in a tight hug.

"You're my Dad...For real."

"I have been for the past sixteen years and I'm sorry I came forward when it was too late. I only told you when I found you laying there barely breathing..That person you called your Dad, is a bad man and I'm not letting him touch you again."

She snuggled into his neck before he gently layed her back down. "Get some rest Princess."

Two Weeks Later

It had been two weeks since Sam was released from hospital. In the three months she was in a coma, Shane and her Mother had decided it was best they moved in together and give their relationship they abanonded a long time ago, another go.

They were currently in the store looking for party supplies because her birthday was coming up soon.

"Hey, can I go buy a new game?" She asked hopeful.

"Sure, but no zombie games. We don't want you dreaming about that again." Shane warned.

She gave a weak smile before running off in the direction of the videogames. She couldn't believe it was all a dream. It felt so real. Every touch, every smell, every taste...It felt so real.

She wasn't paying attention to where she was going and ended up accidently bumping into someone.

"I'm so sorry." She quickly apologised.

"Don't worry about it."

Her heart fluttered at the person turned around with a smile on their face. Their smile slowly went away as they stayed there, looking deep into eachothers eyes.

"I'm Beth. Beth Greene."

Sam felt herself falling in love with her all over again even though she knew she shouldn't be. Things were different. It was real life and she was probably straight.

"Sam Walsh." She stuck her hand out and Beth shaked it.

"Beth."

Sam smiled as she saw Maggie and Hershel walking towards them.

"I told you not to wander off. What if something happend to you?!" Hershel scolded.

"Sorry Daddy.."

Hershel turned his attention to Sam and raised his eyebrow. "Who's your new friend?"

"Sam Walsh."

"Hello Sir." She said holding her hand out and Hershel accepted the hand, shaking it firmly.

"My name is Hershel. This is my other daughter Maggie."

"Hello."

"Hi."

They began to talk and get to know eachother. Sam told them about how she had been in a coma...All she wanted to do though was kiss Beth. For real.

"AVA!"

Sam turned around quickly and caught the small toddler in her arms, picking her up and smiling.

"I'm so sorry!"

Sam's smile grew as she saw Ellie running towards her and she gently took Ava from her.

"It's fine."

"Tha's it Ava. No candy fer ye."

She teared up slightly as she saw Daryl Dixon.

He walked over and gave his daughter a stern look who just giggled.

"Uncle Merle will whoop yer ass if ye don't start behavin'."

"Merle!" The little girl clapped her hands.

Sam looked around and realised the people from her coma dream really existed...Well some of them atleast. The ones who were the most important to her.

"Oops, sorry excuse me."

She turned back around to face Maggie and saw the familiar Asian man trying to juggle food in his hands as he walked through the little group. He tripped over and fell into Maggie who caught him.

"Uh..Hi." He said as they stared into eachothers eyes.

"A box of condoms?" She smirked as she bent down and grabbed the box.

"Huh? Oh. Those aren't mine."

"I've seen you around town before. You got a girlfriend I don't know about?"

Sam clapped her hands and squealed slightly as she saw what was happening in front of her. Everything was coming together.

Even though it wasn't the end of the World, she stil found these amazing people that changed her life in her dream.

And her dream soon became a reality, minus the zombies.

She dated Beth. Maggie dated Glenn. Everyone got on with eachother like they were one big massive family.

When people say dreams do come true...This isn't exactly what they're talking about.

But Sam is certainly glad this dream came true like the way it has.

Through the years she finally found everyone again...She found her family once more and this time...Nobody left her...Nobody died. They were all happy and that was the way it should be.
