Sam's POV

I slowly bring my legs over to the side of the bed, and shuffle my ass forwards and sit on the edge of the bed. I groan quietly as the cell walls slowly begin to move in every direction. I manage to stand and use the moving walls for support as I make my way out of the cell.

I hear people crying. Coughing. Throwing up.

What the actual fuck happend here?

I look around and notice Sasha making her way towards me. I meet her half way and before she can speak, she bursts out into a fit of coughs. She looks like she's about to faint so I wrap my arm around her, steadying her.

"I'm fine." She coughs waving her hand around.

I nod my head and slowly let go of her.

"You okay?" She asks taking a deep breath.

"Yeah." I nod my head. "I just want to see Beth."

Sasha looks around and she nods her head in the direction of a familiar man with a prosthetic leg.

Hershel.

"Maybe he can sort something for you." Sasha smiles patting my arm before turning around and slowly walking towards her cell.

I walk over to Hershel and he slowly turns around, his mouth protected by a bandana.

"Ah! Sam. How are you feeling?" He asks.

"I could be better." I smile sadly.

Hershel nods his head and I look down. I feel him lay a hand on my shoulder and I look back up, looking straight into his gentle and kind eyes.

"You miss Beth?"

I nod my head slowly and he squeezes my shoulder and then walks away, leaving me standing alone.

I sigh and walk back to my cell but someone calling my name catches my attention and I see Beth running towards me with a bandana around her mouth.

I open my arms and she runs into me, nearly knocking me over. I hold her tightly and she laughs.

"I missed you so much." I whisper pulling away, and I notice the sad look in her eyes and I tilt my head to the side.

"What's wrong?"

"You look awful." She says sadly pushing some hair behind my ear.

"Thanks." I laugh and I feel my heart swell with love as her eyes light up, showing me that she's smiling.

"I want to kiss you so bad." I whine and she laughs.

She pulls me into my cell and she pushes me on the bed and I groan as everything starts spinning.

"I want to kiss you too." She replies straddling me as I sit up.

I wrap my arms around her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck and I rest my head againt her chest, listening to her heart beat.

"I love you." She mumbles as she kisses the top of my head.

"I love you too."

We stay like that for a few minutes, before I lift my head up and look into her beautiful eyes. I take her hand in mine and bite my lip.

"What?" She asks concerned.

I take a deep breath and stroke her hand with my thumb.

"I love you so much Beth Greene, and I know we're still young but you have stolen my heart. You have made me feel loved and wanted and everything in between. When I first met you I never thought we would be where we are right now. Madly in love. You are mine now. You have helped me with so much, and have been there for me when I've been at my low points. I want to show everyone you're mine. I want to show everyone that you're never too young to be in love. Once this is all over I want to..." I pause and look away.

"You want to what?" She asks moving her head to look into my eyes.

Before I can answer gun fire echoes around the prison and Beth jumps up and I slowly stand.

"WALKERS!" I hear someone yell.

"Shit." I hiss and grab Beth and put her behind me and hold her hand.

"Sam..You're in no fit state." She argues but I shake my head.

"I don't care. No matter what happens, you do not let go unless I tell you. Do you have your knife?" And I hear her mumble a small yes and I look behind me to see her grabbing it from her boot. "What about your gun?" She reaches into the back of her pants and holds it up. I hold my hand out and she gives me the gun.

I don't care that I'm not well. I'm going to protect Beth..Even if it means dying right here, right now.

I have to make sure Beth stays safe.
