Music - Part II
You could see Jasper physically and emotionally getting better when you look at him after a couple of weeks, looking less depressing, and more peaceful-looking. Jasper was even seen around the Cullen house instead of hiding somewhere in the woods. But they only see him go into his room to change clothes or just get something from the house. If that wasn't a big improvement, then this was: he started talking again to his family and Alice and her mate. It wasn't the usual casual conversations, just greetings, but it was an improvement.

And everyone wanted to know why the sudden change of attitude.

Edward tried looking into his mind, only to see random things like his Texan life from the human days; nothing special.
"Not that I am complaining or anything, but why the sudden happy attitude?" Rosalie asked them one day. They had just witnessed Jasper walk in telling them a small greeting, going up to his room to get something before disappearing again from the house. It was leaving them all frustrated and curious.
"I can't get anything from his mind." Edward admitted. "Alice?" Everyone turned to the ex-mate of Jasper's. When they had heard what happened between the two, they were actually angry and disappointed in her, but slowly they had started to forgive her. But that didn't mean she wasn't the cause of his depression for weeks on end. Because she was the cause, for a selfish reason.
"No, nothing." Alice shook her head sadly. "He knows me. He changes his mind every single time. It's annoying."
"Well, I don't blame him." Jacob shrugged. Everyone turned to him. "What? It's true! Who would want someone that they thought was their mate watch every move they do? It's annoying. Even in my old pack with Sam; he and Leah were annoying."
"But either way, we should be happy for him." Esme told them sternly. "He's getting better. Whatever he is doing is making him get better."
"But what is he doing?" Bella thought out loud. Everyone was quiet in thought.
"Have you guys noticed that he would faintly smell of human?" Emmett said out of the blue. Everyone turned to him shocked. "What? We had a bro hug once - something we haven't done in weeks."
"Is he doing what I think he is doing?" Alice asks concerned.
"No." Emmett shook his head. "The human scent. . .it smells familiar from somewhere."
"Really?" Carlisle said. "Hmm. . .I say, just for precaution, keep an eye on him. Yes? Just to make sure he isn't doing anything reckless."

The next day at school, the siblings paid more attention to Jasper than usual. They noticed he would close his eyes and take a deep breath in, later on opening his eyes and looking around quickly. Edward went to look in his mind, only to see just old memories from Texas. Edward inwardly groaned in annoyance. He was good.
When it was lunch time, they waited around the entrance of the cafeteria, only to see no sign of Jasper. They looked at each other for a moment, before coming to an agreement on splitting up. Each couple would go in a different direction from the other couple.
Edward and Bella were heading to the auditorium, when they went past a music room and heard Jasper's familiar chuckle. Quickly looking at each other with wide eyes, they slowly made their way to the sound and peered through the window on the door. They then saw Jasper sitting on a stool with his back to them, holding a guitar in his arms. They eventually noticed the other person in the room; it was a woman with platinum blonde hair that went to her waist. She was sitting across from Jasper, though close enough that their knees were touching.
They left the area, only to go outside and find a window to the room in an attempt to get a better look at them. While walking to the exit, they stumbled upon the others.
"Couldn't find him." Rosalie said, the others agreeing.
"We found him." Bella told them.
"He's with a human girl." Edward added. "Come on, Bella and I were just about to go to a window to get a better look at them."
