Time Travel
Okay, here's the thing. If I time travel to someone's past that I've already met, will they recognise me or what?
Like, say I went to the forties and saw someone who I saw in my present time. Would me meeting them in the forties make them remember me in the present? I dunno, time travel sucks - not really, just trying to wrap your mind around it and all.
You see, I'm meant to be doing my school assignments on the weekend, only for procrastinate and watch movies. What movies you may ask?

Captain America: First Avenger

Now I know I should have learnt my lesson by now about watching things that I could travel in, but come on! I wanted to watch a movie! That one specifically because damn, Bucky is hot! And seeing him from the happy guy to someone sad and in pain. . .Sebastian Stan is a really good actor.
"Here we go." I sighed when the familiar portal appeared. "I gotta start practising on controlling these shit."

"I recognise this area." I looked around at the streets and shops. "Wait. . .that antique shop. . ."
A man barged out of the shop, heading to a car that held two men. And then out popped the one and only Peggy Carter.
"Oh wow. . ." I gaped at how badass she was, almost having a freak out when I see Steve enter the scene like predicted. "Oh man!" I jumped in my spot excitedly. Watching him chase after the car, I decided to go to the awesome badass woman.
"Hey dude, you okay?" I asked her. She gave me a confused look.
"Pardon?" she asked in her posh voice.
"Right, different era. . ." I chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of my head. "Any chance I can come with you lot? I'm actually close with Steve and all. . ."
"You're a friend of Steve's?" she asked surprised.
"Kind of. . .yeah, you could say that. So lead the way!"

"I'm sorry," Steve frowned, "but I don't know you."
   "Eesh!" I winced. "Harsh."
   "Sorry -"
"So you were lying, then?" Peggy demanded, ready to escort me out. I held my hands up in surrender, jumping behind Steve who was getting blood transferred out of him.
"No!" I protested. "We actually do know each other -"
   "Uh -"
   "Just only in the future!"
"What?" Everyone stared at me in astonishment. Howard Stark clicked his fingers in realisation. Hey, he's not that bad looking either. . .
"Time travel!" he announced to the people in the room. "She's a time traveller."
   "Impossible!" Philips scoffed.
"Uh, it's possible!" I retorted. "Why else am I here?"
   "Undercover agent of HYDRA -"
"Ew no." I grimaced. "No way." Steve smiled slightly at my response.
"Of course she's from the future!" Howard scoffed. "Look at what she's wearing! We have never seen that type of clothing before - females aren't even supposed to show this much skin -"
"I'm in my pyjamas!" I looked down at my purple 1D shorts, and a Harry Potter shirt. "And see this? One Direction is a big band that started in 2010, and Harry Potter isn't until 1995 or whatever - I don't really know." I look to them with raised eyebrows. "I also know your future and life."
"Do you now?" Philips crossed his arms. I nodded my head confident.
"Yep. For example, HYDRA falls. Captain here defeats Red Skull."
   "Captain?" Steve frowned.
"Captain America." I clarified. "That's gonna be your superhero name."
"Superhero!" Howard exclaimed excitedly. "What's mine?"
"Uh. . ." How do I say to him that he gets murdered by Steve's childhood friend? "You don't really get one. More likely your son does. He's Iron Man."
"I have a son?" His eyes brightened. "What's his name?"
"Tony Stark - man I was so close to saying Robert Downey Jr -"
"Let's slow down," Peggy interrupted. "Mary, can you tell us everything?"
"I can try." No way am I telling you guys your personal future. I've said enough.

***

"Be careful." I told him as he got ready to leave secretly with some help from Howard and Peggy.
"I will try, don't worry." Steve assured me. "I'm just going to go in, save Bucky and the hostages, and leave."
"Yeah who am I kidding?" I shrugged. "I already know you're going to survive."
"Thanks, Mary." Steve grinned happily at my answer. "I'll be back."
"I know." I called to his back as he walked away. "Can't wait to meet Bucky!"
"Oh I know!" he called back. "You've been basically talking my ear off about how excited -"
"Yeah, yeah, go save that hottie!"
   "Mary!"
   "I said nothing!"

***

"I am afraid your knowledge is false." Peggy said stiffly. "Steve is dead. Missing in Action."
"Pfft, that's what you think." I scoffed. Suddenly a ruckus could be heard outside the tent. I looked to the two people with a smug smile. "I wonder who that could be?"
   "Oh you sly -"
"Bucky!" I yelled, interrupting Philips from continuing. I ran out of the tent, running towards the freed men, Steve at the front with Bucky at his side. I brought Steve into a tight hug, him returning out gently. "Told you you would make it."
   "Thanks, Mary."
"Uh, who's this young lady?" Bucky asked from behind Steve. I tackled him into a hug. "Whoa! Okay!"
"You are awesome!" I yelled, face smushed against his chest. "I love you!"
"Why thank you!" Bucky pulled away with a grin. He turned to Steve. "I like this one! Can we keep her!"
"Oh my God adopt me!" I agreed with a squeal.
"Mary, you know that can't happen!" Steve scolded. My shoulders slumped in defeat.
"Yeah, you're right. . .I'll explain everything later." I said, noticing Bucky's confused look. "But at the moment. . .LET'S HEAR IT FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA!"

***

"You guys are so cool." Watching along with the two as the Howling Commandos sang drunkenly and chugged drink after drink, I couldn't help but feel happy and content despite the fact I am living in World War II momentarily. But hey, Captain America and Winter Soldier are here so it's okay - let's not forget about Peggy the awesome badass.
"You're pretty cool as well." Bucky grinned, pulling me into a side hug. "It's going to be sad when you leave. You're like a little sister to me."
"I feel the same." Steve agreed. "It's been nice knowing you."
"Same with you two, except in the past and all." I shrugged. "It's cool seeing you guys before who you become in the future."
"The future sounds crazy." Bucky chuckled.
"Oh don't you know it." Just then, a familiar person stood at the entrance. And it wasn't Peggy. "And this is when I leave. . ."
"Already?" Steve frowned. Following my gaze his face smoothed into realisation. "Is that -"
"Yep," I sighed, "it's the Ancient One. Time to go." I have each of them hugs. "Everything is going to be hard and complicated, but in the end you guys will have each other. I'm gonna miss you guys."
"Well, we're gonna miss you too." Bucky said sadly. "See you around, kid."
   "Bye Bucky, bye Steve."
   "Bye Mary." they said sadly.
Even though it was sad to leave them, I'm glad I did. No way was I going to be there when Bucky falls to his 'death'. I wouldn't handle it like how I wouldn't have handled Pietro's death.

Present day. . .ish. . .
Steve woke up from his sleep, breathing heavily. His eyes widened in disbelief when he remembered his dream - his memories. They were altered; he saw Mary. Mary in the forties. She did her time travelling, universe travelling thing again. And she travelled to the forties to see him and Bucky.
"Wow. . ." Steve sighed, rubbing his face tiredly. "What a night." He couldn't help but wonder if Bucky was witnessing his new memories as well during cryo while waiting for a cure for his mind.

"You are one interesting girl, Mary Holly."
