Draco Malfoy

A/N: So. . .this is quite long. And I think a bit jumbled. I don't know, but yeah get ready for feels.

Like Romeo and Juliet

He was a Slytherin, she a Gryffindor. His house hated hers, hers hating his. Their friends didn't want them to communicate to each other. But they wanted to communicate with each other. Their friends and family told them not to interact with one another. But they did.

And a sad fate they met.

It was the Yule Ball in their fourth year did they meet for the first time.
They never saw each other during school, so they were amazed when they saw each other.
Draco Malfoy was loitering around the buffet, hiding from his date that happened to be Pansy Parkinson. He was bored. And he hated the attention Harry Potter got. Just because he was the Boy Who Lived.
He was about to make his leave to his Common Room when he saw her. The most beautiful girl he had ever seen.
She was across the room from him, watching everyone with a small smile on her face. She wore a beautiful light blue dress with patterned white lace around her shoulders and chest area, the sleeves down her arms to her elbows a lighter blue than the dress.

Her skin pale and flawless, lips a light pink, eyes shining brightly against the lights.

Draco Malfoy knew that she was the one.

As soon as he thought that, their eyes connected. And as their eyes connected, it felt like their souls were connected together as well - like it was love at first sight.
Simultaneously, they started making their way to each other. Both were yearning to know each other and talk to one another.
Draco pushed and shoved his way through, the girl politely excusing people as she shuffled by. They were a metre away when they were both taken away at the same time; Draco being pulled away by Pansy and the girl being pulled away by Hermione Granger. Despite the sudden change, they saw who dragged who, and they knew that what they were about to have, it was forbidden.

For she was a Gryffindor, he a Slytherin.

Days went by when they saw each other again. It was during the weekend when Draco saw her alone at the Black Lake, reading.
When no one was looking, he made his way to her. "Hello." he said from behind her.
She gasped, slamming the book closed in fright. She stood up and turned to him, her face showing shock when she saw him. He gave her a small shy smile. "H-hello." she uttered out seconds later.
"I'm Draco Malfoy." he held a hand out for her to take.
"Vivienne Moore." she lightly took his hand. He held her hand gently, and without loosing eye contact he chastely kissed her knuckles. She felt her breath hitch at the intimacy from a mere greeting. "You're a Slytherin."
"And you're a Gryffindor." he acknowledged. "Nice to have that said."
"People will find it strange."
"Some might find it a truce between our houses."
"Some might find it as a betrayal."
"You're thinking of the Golden Trio." Draco realised. "That's right; you're friends with Granger."
"They're really nice when you get to know them." she tried to assure him.
"Same with me." he added. "I'm not as mean as you think."
"I don't think that at all." she said quietly. It was silent between the two.
"You looked very beautiful at the Yule Ball." Draco broke the silence. "Took my breath away."
"And you looked very handsome that night." she said back, a light blush coating her cheeks. "What are we doing?"
"Getting to know each other." he shrugged. "Maybe even falling in love." Why was he acting like this? He never acts sappy and all romantic. What was she doing to him?
"It's forbidden."
"Unless we're not caught." Draco gave a small look of plead. "Come on, we don't have to tell anyone. It's just between us two. You're telling me you didn't feel the connection that night? That it was all a big hoax?"
"Alright." she caved in. "But no one can know."
"No one." Draco agreed.
