A/N: This is for ShayRuff who wanted this. I also looked back at comments and realised xXxWeepingWeirdoxXx wanted a Vision one-shot. I'll be sure to get on that. Also, is it OCxVision or WandaxVision?

Also, this might not be my best because Mycroft isn't really my top favourite characters but he's still an awesome dude so I'll try my best. Hope you like it, ShayRuff !

Sentiment
Repeatedly Mycroft Holmes told his very own brother that sentiment was not an advantage. That they were useless and a distraction. But he had a good reason to it. A valid reason.
It was when he was in university during his last year, did he meet someone that met his intellect. How they met was something you wouldn't expect.
Mycroft was on his way to one of his classes when he suddenly saw a young woman running down the hallway towards him. Startled, he went to step to the side only to suddenly be grabbed along onto the run, with her grabbing his arm and leading him away. He was very bewildered, you could say.
She had led him to an abandoned classroom, the both of them leaning against the door and catching their breath. The sound of people running past them could be heard. "What on earth was that all about?" he snapped. "And why was I pulled into your mess?"
"Sorry," she had laughed, smiling at him easily, "I did that because of spur of moment. It was exhilarating running from the professors, right?"
". . .it was." he reluctantly admitted.
"See? No need to be so uptight about life. Life is good! Cherish it!" She punched his shoulder lightly. He stared at the spot she punched in confusion.
"I-I need to go." he eventually said, having been enveloped in awkward silence. "I was on my way to class."
"Of course." she allowed him to exit. "I'll see you soon, Mister Mycroft Holmes."
"What?" He stared at her in surprise. "How did you -"
"You're not the only one who could do deductions." She kicked him out of the classroom. "Ta-ta!"

And that was the start of something.

After that, you could say Mycroft was intrigued on the woman. He never saw her after that encounter, and he found himself missing her presence - which was strange since they only met once. He got his wish to see her again when he was heading to one of his classes.
"Holmes!" Turning around, he was surprised to see the woman running towards him.
"Please tell me you're not running away from the professors again." he deadpanned. She laughed in reply, grabbing his hand and leading him away from his class. "W-What are you doing?"
"Just come with me!" she grinned. Reluctantly he allowed her to lead him away. He was confused when she merely led him to an abandoned classroom.
"Why are we here?" he asked her, entering the classroom after her. "I was heading to my -"
"Look!" She showed him an umbrella. He looked at it unamused. "Nice, isn't it?"
"It's an umbrella." he stated blandly. "An umbrella."
   "Yep."
"And why are you showing me an umbrella that is useless unless it rains?"
"This is the good bit; it's no ordinary umbrella." She aimed to the farthest wall with the umbrella, something suddenly firing from the tip of the umbrella and hitting the wall with a bang. Mycroft jumped in fright.
   "What was that -!"
"It's like a secret agent umbrella!" she grinned. "It can shoot out bullets, and it has knock-out gas. I am also constructing on the umbrella a shield-like on it to prevent bullets from -"
"Fascinating." he breathed out, grabbing the umbrella from her. He observed the object, seeing nothing strange about it until he saw a small trigger at the handle with a small button. "Button for the gas, I presume?"
"You guess correctly." She smiled at him proudly. "What do you think?"
"It's amazing." he admitted, handing her the umbrella back. "But why are you showing me this?"
"I know that you're going to accomplish good things in life - trying to be a federal agent and all. I'm just helping ya along the way."
   "How do you know -"
"You're not the only one that can deduce!" she sang out. "Catch you later, Mycroft. I'll see you later." She was gone before he could say anything.
