The Approval
You and Felix have been dating for a while now - basically a week after you moved to Bremin. You moved there from London, wanting a new life after the car accident that took away your parents and younger brother. It was just you and your other side of the family, that happened to be Jake's family.
At first it was hard, with Jake's mum struggling to pay the rent since her husband wasn't helping. Jake and you try to help her as much as you can; making BLT, ironing her uniform, letting her rest. . .

It was kind of stressful for a teenager.

You first met Felix when you were sitting alone underneath a tree at school, drawing in your sketchbook, heavy metal music blasting in your ears. You didn't realise that someone was there until you felt someone tap your shoulder. Looking up, you were speechless when you saw the boy. He was different than the others; he was a goth - and a good-looking one at that. He had black shaggy hair that had a few strips of red at the back. He wore black, along with Doc Martins. He had snake bites on his lips, his brown eyes piercing your blue ones. He held on tightly to a shoulder bag, staring down at you with a look of curiosity.
You stopped the music, taking your earphones out slowly. "Yes?" you had asked shyly. He shuffled in his spot above you, his hands tightening on the straps of his bag.
"You're new here." he stated. "From. . .London?"
"Yeah, you can tell by my silly accent." you gave a small laugh, him quirking a smile.
"Sorry, I'm stalling. . ." he bent down and held a hand out to you. "I'm Felix. Felix Ferne."
"Amanda." you shook his hand. "So what brings you here, Felix?"
"I don't really know." he admitted quietly, his eyes flickering around avoiding your gaze. He nodded to the space beside you. "May I?"
"Of course." You shuffled over to let him lean against the tree with you. He noticed your sketch pad.
"Nice drawing." It was a drawn picture of a skull with a rose in its mouth.
   "Thank you."
"So. . ." he said awkwardly. "Um. . .if you want, I can show you around the town since you're new."
"Really?" You were supposed to have it with Jake but at the moment he couldn't because of footy training. "Thanks. . .that means a lot. I was supposed to with Jake -"
"Jake?" Felix frowned. "Is he your. . ."
"Boyfriend? No way!" you shook your head in disgust. "He's my cousin. I'm living with him and his mum at the moment."
"Oh." he looked away, embarrassed at thinking of you being with Jake. "N-not that I care or anything. . ."
"Okay." you couldn't help but giggle. The bell rang for the next classes to begin. "I guess I'll see you later then?"
"Sure." Felix helped you up from the ground. "I'll see you at the end of school?"
   "I'll see you here."
After that, it was a start of a new friendship.

***

A week after you came from London, you and Felix were close.
He introduced you to Ellen, who was hesitant on meeting you since she had a crush on Felix. Ellen didn't like it that some 'pommy' woman got his attention instantly.
You and Jake still worked together on helping his mother, Felix secretly helping you two as well like giving you some grocery food to have, or giving you some money. You felt flattered that he was doing something like that, but you were also mad that he was wasting his money and food on the two - especially on your cousin that bullies him. That's why you haven't told Jake yet that you were friends with Felix, and that you were falling hard for the goth.
It wasn't long until you confessed to Felix your feelings for him, not being able to hold it in any longer.
"You don't have to return them," you were rambling to the silent goth, "I just wanted you to know because I couldn't hold it in any longer. If you don't want to be friends because of this that's fine, I understand -" you were cut off by his lips being placed on yours, his hands cupping your face. You were frozen in shock, eyes wide in disbelief at the fact that he loved you back.
He slowly pulled away, his breaths fanning over your face. He gave out a small chuckle. "You know you ramble a lot when you're nervous, right?" he whispered to you. You blushed in reply. "I love you too, Amanda." You were smiling brightly at this, bringing his face down to kiss again - this time, kissing him back.
