When He's Angry
You listened to your heavy rock music, drawing a portrait of you and your boyfriend Felix staring straight ahead with blank looks on your faces. It was going pretty well so far.
Your music that was playing on your phone was cut off when someone started calling you. Huffing in annoyance at the interruption of one of your favourite songs, you answered the phone begrudgingly. "Yes?"
"Maya? It's me, Andy."
"Oh, hey Andy." You frowned in confusion. "Why you calling me? If it's about skipping school again -"
"It's not about that." he rushed out. "It's Felix."
You immediately gained all attention on him. "I'm listening. What about him?"
"You see, he got into a small argument with his parents about something." he explained. "He's not in the best mood and it's getting a bit hard to tame him. When he's mad, he loses control of his powers - you know what I am saying?"
"Yeah!" came Sam's voice from the phone. "It's getting hard making lies to people as to why some things are suddenly on fire, or why it's hot -"
"You want me to control him?" you wondered. "Ellen is there. She can do it -"
"Yeah, she can't even stop him!" Andy replied. "And honestly? I don't think anyone can get Felix out of his mood. You know how he is."
"I'll try." I told him, getting ready for school - despite the fact that it's already midday.
"But he's dangerous - he accidentally burnt Jake when Jake grabbed his arm."
"I'm going to try." you waved off. Before he could say anything, you hung up on him.

You entered the school grounds, realising it was lunch time already for them. You wondered around the school, finding the people you were looking for. The three boys stood underneath a tree with Ellen, Felix sitting a couple metres away from them underneath his own lonely tree. You made your way over to the boys and Ellen.
"How long has he been like this?" you asked them.
"The whole day." Andy answered.
"It's annoying." Ellen huffed.
"Are you sure you want to go there?" Jake asked you. "He could hurt you -"
"I'm his girlfriend, he won't hurt me." you waved off. "Besides, even if he does he would immediately regret his actions and apologise profusely."
After giving you wary looks, they told you good luck and you were on your merry way. When you approached him, you could see him playing with some leaves, burning them and moving on to the next. His eyes were still brown, but you could see orange tints in his orbs.
"Felix?" you called to him lightly. His eyes flicked to you - for a moment, going back to his brown eyes before orange came back. "I heard what's been happening today."
"Aren't you supposed to be wagging school?" he grumbled. You merely shrugged, sitting beside him.
"Heard my boyfriend was upset and being quite naughty, and decided to come over."
"Maya, I am seriously not in the mood at the moment for this shi-" you cut him off with your lips, kissing him deeply. He sat tense and angry for a couple more moments, refusing to kiss back, but slowly he gave in and started kissing you back, his arms wrapping around your waist and pulling you tightly to him. You smiled into the kiss, slowly pulling away from him. You looked at his face and saw him looking to be in peace, his eyes still closed. He was still holding on to your waist tightly.
"Thank you." he whispered to you. "Thank you. I really needed that."
"Okay." you shrugged nonchalantly. "If you ever get angry, just kiss me senseless." Felix cracked a smile, giving you another kiss. "Listen," you told him seriously, "don't let that argument with your parents get to you, okay? You always have me and the boys and Ellen to talk to. Don't keep your emotions bottled in, okay? You even told me that when we first met."
Felix nodded in understanding, seeming to realise that he had more friends than he thought. He also felt guilty for accidentally burning Jake that day.
"Come on," you stood up, pulling him up while you did so, "you got some friends that are quite concerned about you."
Before you could lead him to the awaiting friends, he pulled you into another passionate kiss. You yelped through the kiss in surprise, but kissed him back happily. "You know I love you, right?" he whispered against your lips. "Even though I don't say it much, I love you."
You gave him a shy smile, brushing his black hair off his face lightly. "I love you too." you whispered back.
After staring at each other for a while, you walked back to Ellen and the boys, Felix's arms wrapped tightly around your waist.
"All better now?" Sam asked us. We both nodded in response.
"Better." Felix agreed. He turned to Jake. "Hey mate, I am sorry about your arm -"
"It's okay, man." Jake waved off, "Andy did some water mojo on me to heal it."
After that day, whenever Felix got angry, they would know to bring him to you, who he'd kiss senseless until he was calm again. And then he'd tell you his love for you, and treat you out for being so patient with him and his anger.
