My Cinderella Story (Liam Payne)

CHAPTER 34

I got to school this morning with no one. Not even Anna. She's really upset how Mattie turned on us. She said she's gonna hang out with her old friend because I remind her of Mattie, and she's really upset. I hope she's okay.

More taunting, ug. I go to class, sit alone at lunch, and watch Aubrey and her clique make fun of me. The sad thing is, Mattie and Liv act like they were never friends with me. It really hurts.

When I was leaving school Liam called me.

"Come to the flat now!" He said. "Ok!" I drive there as fast as I could. I ran through the door. "Did you find Teddy?!" I asked. "Yea, but he's pretty hurt. He's over there." Liam said. I ran to Teddy. "Teddy!!" I yelled. He looked pretty bad. "We need to take him to the vet." I said. We put him in the car and drove there.

"Where'd you find him?" I asked. "He walked up to the door while I was sitting at home. I told you he'd come back." Liam smiled. I tied to smile back. "How was your day?" Liam asked. "Worse than yesterday." I sighed. "Don't worry, things will get better." He said.

We got to the vet and the doctor looked at Teddy. "Wait here while we check him out." He said. We told him what happened and sat down. After a while of us nervously sitting there the vet called us back to the room.

He looked stressed. "Teddy here is pretty hurt. He got electrecuted and was lost in the wood for days. He's sick and wounded. We're not sure he's gonna make it."

Those words struck me like knives.

"W-what?" I stuttered. "I'm sorry, we'll keep him over night but... He's really sick." The doctor frowned. "But, but, no!" I yelled. Liam grabbed my hand. "He's gonna be fine. Tell him goodbye, we need to go." Liam said. I cried into Teddy's fur. He licked my cheek. "Bye Teddy." I said as tears streamed down my face. We left and Liam drove me back to his flat.

I sat on the couch and cried. "It's gonna be okay..." Liam hugged me. "How do you know!!?!" I wiggled out of his arms. "Everything's falling apart!!!" I yelled. Liam looked shocked.

"Teddy will be fine." He said. "You don't care do you?!" I cried. "Of course I care!" Liam yelled. "Really? Because you don't seem sad at all!!" I yelled back. "I am sad!! I'm trying to be brave for you!!" Liam said.

"Yea right." I rolled my eyes. "You need to cheer up and stop being so grumpy!!" Liam yelled. "Oh so now your blaming this on me?!" I asked. Liam sighed. "Your being unreasonable." "I am not!! My whole life, sucks!!!! And you have it perfect!!!" I screamed. "This is not perfect!! Having people only like you cause your famous!!! Paparazzi!! I'd rather be you!!" Liam yelled. "Are you kidding me!?" I yelled.

"My parents died when I was little, and my new mom beats me!!! No one likes me!!! People say I'm ugly!! I get beat up all the time!! Don't ever say you'd rather be me!!!" I yell. Liam looked down.

"Did you mean it?" I asked. "Mean what?" Liam asked back. "When you said you loved me. Did you mean it?" I stared at him. He sighed. That's what I thought." I started tearing up. "I'm leaving." I started to walk out the door.

"Wait!" Liam yelled. "Don't you need a ride home?" He asked. "I rather walk." I said. "Please don't go." Liam said. I wiped away a tear. "Bye, Liam." I slammed the door and started walking home.

It was pitch black and cold. But I kept walking. It started raining, haling. I walked faster. "Ow." I mumbled as hale hit me in the face. I stopped on the sidewalk and started bawling. "I lost everything!" I cried. I decided to start waking again because I was freezing.

While I was walking home I thought about the night I met Liam. He saved me from crazy fans. His smile made me smile. He was so nice. I never thought I'd see him again. Or that he'd mean so much to me. And when he helped me with the groceries at the store when I fell. Or at his pool. I cried even more.

I got home and almost collapsed.

"Quit leaving home!!" Hurlbutt threw her phone at my face. "Where were you?!?!" She yelled. "The store." I sniffled. "WHERE.WERE.YOU?!?!?" She screamed. "I said the store!!!!" I cried. "That's it." Hurlbutt punched me in the stomach.

"If your going to lie, then your going to get hurt." She kicked me in the gut. She hit me repeatingly until she got tired and quit. I ran upstairs crying and collapsed on the bed thinking about today.

I hate my life.

Can you believe her and Liam got in a fight?! *gasp*
