I shifted uncomfortably in my seat for the hundredth time as I sat on Cory's chair in her room. She kept staring at me, like she was in deep thought or something.
"Would you stop please? You've been staring me down for the last five minutes." I sighed. "I'm thinking." She suddenly jolted out of her trance that involved creeping me out. "About what?" I asked, growing impatient with her.
"Well, you're single now, and I was just thinking, maybe you should change your appearance a little." Cory shrugged. "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "Your clothes are fine, just change your hair." She stated.
"Gee thanks." I glared at her. "It's pretty! Like I want your hair! But I think you should do something different." She corrected her terrible insult. "What do you want me to dye it or something?" I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"No stupid." Cody rolled her eyes. "I want you to cut it."
"What?! No!" I jumped off the chair and frowned. "I like it this way." It was long and came down the middle of my back. "It's pretty, but your hairs been like that for ages." She whined.
"Liam liked it." I huffed, but my eyes widened after I realized what I just said. "That's the problem! You have to move on! It's been almost three weeks since you've broken up! This is your hair that you had when you were with Liam, imagine your hair you'll have without Liam." Cory explained.
"This is stupid, we're arguing about changing my hairstyle, and what does it matter if my hair stays the same after I break up with someone? You're ridiculous." I rolled my eyes. "Come on, please! I promise you'll love it. We'll just get advice from the hair dresser. Pleeeease?" Cory begged.
I frowned as I thought wether I should do it or not. "This is the first step to moving on, you want to move on don't you?" She asked. "Fine." I huffed.
What did I just do.
"Yes! Let's go now, I'm sure our my hair dresser won't be busy!" Her attitude immediately perked up as she grabbed my hand and drug me out of her house and to my truck. "I'm driving." She demanded, I mumbled something I'm not going to repeat under my breath and got in the passengers seat.
"So, is my look bad or something? Why do I have to change it?" I asked as Cory pulled out. "You're gorges idiot, I figured you just needed to change it up a little. And you're way to, you, to do it yourself. So I made you do it." She smiled.
"I just don't think it's a big deal, but whatever." I sighed. "When people say whatever that means they lost the argument." Cory stated. "I think I already lost the argument twenty minutes ago." I rolled my eyes.
"We're here." Cory grinned as we pulled into the beauty shop. Hesitantly, I walked through the door. I shouldn't be nervous, it's just a haircut. The place was nice, big too, filled with hair products and makeup and tons of stylists running around.
Obviously a nice place, nothing to worry about.
"Hello, welcome to Ulta Beaty Salon, may I help you?" A tall brunette walked up to us and smiled, she looked only a few years older than me.
"Yes, I know we didn't make an appointment, but I was wondering if you could squeeze her in for a hair cut?" Cory asked as she pointed to me. "Luckily it's a slow day, so why not? Follow me." She led us to a little station and I sat down on the chair.
"I'm Alice." She smiled at me as she got her supplies together, Cory stood a few feet away from me like she was my mom or something.
"Sarah." I smiled back. "So, what do you want done with your hair?" Alice asked. "Um..." I looked at Cory not knowing what to say.
