CHAPTER 60

Ah, 60 chapters. I've come so far. A lot is gonna happen before Christmas though. Not sure if I'm gonna write about Christmas in my book or skip it. But you guys will like this chapter cuz it's gonna be sweet and adorable.(:

The minute I woke up this morning I knew it would be a horrible day. And so far it has, and it's only 12:00. Cory and Jewels are at some sports deal across town for the school. They play volleyball and I think they said it was a tournament. I don't pay much attention to what they say when it involves sports. Anna is who knows where, probably sick because the tons of kids have been getting sick lately.

So here I am at the lunch table alone. At least I can think. I looked down at my food when abunch of kids walked by. They don't like it when I make eye contact and neither do I. I heard someone set their tray on my table and I looked up.

"Hey." Austin said. Well this is gonna be awkward. "Hi." I smiled. We did say we were friends, so I guess I shouldn't complain. "Why are you over here? Not in a mean way." I said. Way to be cool. "I figured Anna would be over here, but I guess she's sick. But I'll just stay over here." Austin said. "Gee thanks." I teased. "My friends are being annoying, so I bet you'll be nicer." Austin grinned. "I wouldn't be so sure." I smirked.

Austin looked shocked. "I'm kidding!" I laughed. He sure is blond alright. "You're blond too!" Austin said. "I said that out loud?" I asked. "Yep." Austin grinned. "Gosh dang I never do that!" I yelled as Austin laughed. Then a group of boys walked up to our table.

"Hey, why are sitting with her and not us?" One guy asked as he glared at me. I'm guessing these jerks are Austin's friends. "Because I wanted too." Austin answered. "You don't want to sit with this loser." One guy smirked evilly at me. "She's just a little butt who thinks she can get whatever she wants cause she's dating a celebrity." One dude said. I didn't think he knew that. Word gets around I guess.

The bell rang so I got up to throw my trash away and get away from them. But as I walked away one guy tripped me and I fell. Good thing my tray was empty. I got up and glared at him as he laughed at me. "Don't think we're gonna take it easy on you because you have crutches." He scowled.

"Hey, be nice." Austin said. "Just stay away from her. Let's go, we have to get to class." The jerk drug Austin away. Austin mouthed sorry and I shrugged.

Surprisingly most people have been nice to me. Random kids don't push me down anymore. It's only Aubrey and her clique and the two groups of boys who push me around. And today they were being especially mean.

"Hey Sarah. don't you think those jeans are a little, baggy?" Aubrey asked from across the hall. I stared at her. She usually wears mini skirts but when she does wear jeans they're so right they look like leggings. I frowned and walked away. My jeans look normal thank you very much.

As I sat in horrible math class the lady on the intercom spoke.

"Music class is canceled due to a concert the teachers are at. Have a nice day."

Like this day could get any worse!! I threw my head against my desk. "Miss.Best you are disturb the class." The teacher frowned. "Sorry." I mumbled as I lifted my head.

Right before my last class I got a call. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello, is this Sarah Best?" A lady asked through the phone. "Yes." I replied. "I called to remind you about you're interview at 4:00. This is The University calling." The lady said.

I completely forgot!!

"Oh yea, thank you. I'll be there." I said calmly. Even though I wasn't calm. "Good. Bye now." She hung up.

I went to class and ran home as fast as I could. I didn't tell Liam I didn't have a ride or he'd freak. Besides I'll be fine.

I have to find something to wear!! I need to have a good impression. I've applied for only two colleges. The one here and the one in New York, yea I know it's far but that was a while back.
