CHAPTER 14

I woke up this morning feeling terrible. "Uuuuggg...." I moaned. Them Mattie came in. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked. "Noooo." I groaned and looked at the clock. 8:00?!? "I'm not going to school." I said. Hurlbutt always makes me go to school, even if I'm at deaths door. But she's not here! "Ok, well bye!" She walked out. I texted Jewels.

Not going to school today, I'm sick. Turns out Mattie and Liv are pretty nice. Let them sit with you at lunch, ttyl.

She replied.

WHAT? "Mattie and Liv?"I'm so confused. They're nice? I don't know, I'll make them explain at lunch, bye.

Yea, her and Cory might be a little shocked. Just a little.

I laid around all day and ate, but I still feel terrible. Then I got a text from Liam at 1:30.

Hey. So this afternoon you weren't at music. You okay?

Yea just a sick day ):

I'm coming!

Wait. What?

I jumped off the couch and ran to the mirror.

THE HORROR.

"AHH!!!" I screamed. I jumped in the shower and got out 5 minutes later. I brushed my hair out but just left it wet. I put on gray sweats and some concealer. That's usually all I wear ever since Layla gave me make up a few weeks ago. Well I wear mascara but that's it.

I walked downstairs and collapsed on the couch. I rapped my self in a dozen blankets and drifted off to sleep....................

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

I woke up to someone banging on the door. "Hey it's Liam!" How long was I asleep? I checked the clock. Only 10 minutes. Wow. I felt horrible. "Come in." I groaned.

"Hey how are you feeling?" Liam asked when he walked inside. "Like I got ran over." I reply. "Awww it's okay Sar-Bear!!" Liam said with puppy dog eyes. "Sar-Bear?" I giggled. "Yes." He said as he jumped on the couch and got under my blankets.

"I'm sorry if I look like a zombie." I said. Liam looked at me. "You look beautiful." He kissed my cheek. I blushed. ALOT. Infact so much that my face didn't look dead anymore!!

"Thanks." I looked down so he wouldn't see me blush so much. "Need anything?" He asked. "I don't think so." I answered. The phone rang. I tried to get up but couldn't so Liam handed it to me.

"Uh, hello?" I coughed. "Sarah? I called to leave a message. Why are you at home when you should be at school?" Oh no. Hurlbutt. "Well, I'm sick Miss.Hurlbutt." I said shakily. "Just make sure you do your chores!" She sighed. "And I called to tell you to replace the pool filter, I want it ready when I come home." She said. "But you're coming home in 2 weeks, that's a long time." I said. "Don't you dare sass me, just do it." She hung up.

"UGGG." I sighed. "I have to replace a pool filter." "I would do it, but I don't know how." Liam hung his head in shame. I chuckled. "It's fine, I just gotta get up." I tried but my legs were so wobbly. Liam noticed. "No worries!!" He picked me up bridal style and carried me to our backyard. He set me down and got my supplies and I did it as easy as pie!

He carried me back in and put me on the couch. "Thanks." I smiled groggily. "Anytime." He threw fuzzy blankets on me. "I have to go,bye." He hugged me. I watched him walk out the door as I fell asleep. I smiled. He's just so perfect!

"Shutup! She might hear us!"

"Nah, she's sick and sleeping like a rock."

"But we gotta be careful!"

I woke up to that and looked around. My eyes were adjusting and I still felt sick. Then I saw 3 guys walk out of the kitchen.

Cody, Justin, and Logan. Three bully's from my school. What were they doing here?

"H-hey! What are you doing?" I spoke up. They all stared at me. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea.

"Look who's awake." Justin walked towards me. He was holding abunch of stuff like laptops and Tvs. "Put.that.back." I said trying to sound scary. They laughed. I guess it wasn't.

"Don't worry, she's so small it will only take a minute to snap her neck." Cody popped his knuckles. He's the strong one, Justin's the scary evil one. And Logan's the weak one who kinda just tags along.

I gotta hurt them. They can't get away or Hurlbutt will kill me. I jumped up from the couch and kicked Justin in the crotch.

"Gosh!!" He yelled. But I guess I didn't kick hard enough cuz he quickly recovered.

"Stupid kid." He scowled. "I'm your age and WAY more mature." I said. "What was that?" Cody asked. "You heard me,you guys have nothing better to do so you bully me and break in my house cuz you have no stuff." I snapped. They all walked towards me angrily.

BAD IDEA REPEAT BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!

Can't I keep my mouth shut?!?

"Let's get her." Cody punched me in the stomach. "Ow!" I yelped. Justin kicked me in the gut and I collapsed on the ground. Then Logan threw a remote at my face. Gosh I get enough remotes thrown at me by Hurlbutt.

Cody yanked me up then slammed me back on the ground. "P-please stop!" I cried. They slapped me and kicked me and threw my face on our hard marble floor. "Please. Just go." I croaked. "Not until you black out!" Justin screamed. I was already bleeding hadn't I got enough?

Cody kicked me in the head when I saw someone come through the door.

"Hey I left my phone here-" Liam's eyes widened. After that all I saw was those 3 being punched and yelled at.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!!! SHES DONE NOTHING TO YOU!!!! SHE DOSNT DESERVE THIS YOU GUYS DO!!!!" He threw them out the door then he mumbled. "Can't you see she's perfect?"

Everything stared to go black. I heard that Liam. I heard that.
