Okay niggas I updated early, wanna know why? I have freaking strep throat, which also means NO SCHOOL.Good for most people, bad for me bc I have work to do cuz I get out of school in 6 days!

So yeah, here you go, and I swear to the almighty heavens if I don't get a crap load of comments and votes in this chapter I'm gonna be berry upset, bc this chapter is IN-TENSE.

But not as intense as the next chapter.

What I didn't say that.

"You slept in way too long, today you're doing chores. I don't care what you say." Hurlbutt growled at me when I got to the kitchen. "What are you doing then?" I asked lazily. It's only been ten minutes since I got out of bed, I'm not up for her attitude.

"I'm going away for the weekend, I'll be back Sunday night. You have two days without me. Don't do anything stupid and take care of Olive and Matilda."

"They're not five, besides, they're always gone these days. When are they ever going to go to that college?" I asked. "Soon, if I come back and the chores aren't done, you're in huge trouble." She picked up her large bag and started to walk out the door.

"One more thing," she threw a broom at me, luckily I caught it, surprising her greatly, "start cleaning now brat."

I sat on the counter when she walked out the door, sighing. I haven't had these long chore days in forever.

I have all today and all tomorrow without her, but everything has been so stressful lately, I don't feel like going somewhere and trying to move on, it always ends up terribly.

My eyes widened when I checked the clock, 11:30. I really must've been tired, after all, having to call Mary and ask her to drive me home wasn't very peaceful.

She sure is grumpy when she's tired.

But she got her own tank of gas and put it in this morning, she texted me saying she'd drive it here. I don't know why Mary would put gas in my truck and drive it here, but I'm thankful. She's always been one of the nicest people I ever met.

Or maybe she's just repaying me for her attitude last night.

"Wow, haven't seen this in a while," someone laughed as I swept the kitchen floor. I looked up to see Olive and Matilda smirking down at me. "Where are you two snobs going?" I asked.

"The mall, just like the old days huh Olive?" Matilda smiled at her, Olive giggled. "Yep, our personal maid is back."

"Just get out of here, and don't go off and run away tonight just because Hurlbutt's gone, I'm in charge." I snapped at them, they rolled their eyes and left, leaving me to clean in peace.

I started humming as I swept, it was raining outside, of course. It's always raining here.

My mood is just depressed really, I don't feel like going out and being social, no trying new things. Something just feels empty, and I think I'm just now realizing that my heart feels hollow.

"Stop it Sarah." I scolded myself, what am I, a poet?

Before I knew it I was gliding across the fancy tile kitchen floor, humming a pretty song as I pretended to dance with the broom.

That's it, I've officially gone crazy.

Luckily I was done so I quickly put the broom up and tried to find a chore to do that didn't make me act crazy.

"I guess I'll just scrub the floor," I sighed, but started grinning as I saw Matilda's door from the bottom of the stairs.

"With Matilda's toothbrush..."
