4 - You have a crush!

Stacy called me immediately after the class was over, she must have seen the video just now.

"Where are you?" She asked me as soon as I picked up the phone.

"Uhm ... I am in the corridor near the chemistry lab," I said. I didn't mean to lie to her and technically I did not as the staircase is next to the chemistry lab.

"I will be there, Do not move" She ordered and hung up

"We should go, " I said to Alex "Thank you for this BTW" I added

"No problem," He said and then we made our way out, towards the lab as soon as I opened the gate, I bumped into Stacy.

"April did you see this!" She  shoved her phone in my face as soon as she saw me, taking me by surprise 

"Where and when did this happen?" She spoke again but then she stopped and went stiff. She looked at Alex and her expression went like she has seen a ghost.

"Oh Alex ... this is my friend  Stacy and Stac this is ..." and before I could complete the introduction Stacy whispered

"Alex" 

"Yours truly," Alex said and extended his arms for a handshake

Stacy was still staring at Alex as she accepted his handshake. I could see Alex awkwardly smiling

I cleared my throat and then Stacy snapped out of her world to realize she was still holding his hand. She snatched her hand back.

"We should go," She said before looping her hands around mine, and before I could say I was being pulled away. 

"Woah!" I tried to gain my balance and when I realized Stacy wasn't gonna stop I shouted goodbye to Alex.

"What's up with you!? " I asked Stacy

"Nothing " But then she snapped her head towards me "What was Alex doing with you?" She asked

"Uhh... nothing he ......" and then it hit me

"OH MY GOD! You have a crush on Alex! " I exclaimed

Stacy stopped in her way and then pulled in to the side "Shush ....are you crazy! Why would you say that out loud?" She said 

I covered my mouth and then I looked at her "oops" I said, "But you like him don't you!" I whispered

She widens her eyes at me."Nooooo...." She trailed off "Maybe........" She shyly shrugged 

"Why didn't you tell me!? Oh my god you guys would look so cute together" I said 

"Okay ........ I like him, he doesn't like me back" She said, "And we are never talking  about this ever again!" She said

"Ohh come on " I teased her 

"Whatever!" Stacy "Talking about a crush, what was that video about?' She asked me

"Oh god! I forgot about that" I said as I scoffed

"I was sitting with Alex in the library " I saw Stacy so wide eyes when I mention Alex's name "Chill he was there to thank me and then we sat there and talked, that's it!" I said. Stacy relaxed a bit.

"So I was ranting about Aiden being so entitled and whatnot, so  by chance it slipped out of my mouth about Aiden being hot, someone recorded it and edited the whole part and kept that single line in that video," I said 

Stacy laughed a little "Welcome to high school honey" She said and I made a disgusted face at her. She then, while laughing put her hand over my shoulders as we made our way to the class.

Stacy and I were sitting in class when I heard someone " Things people do for attention, it's disgusting" I snapped my face towards the voice. I wasn't surprised to see whose voice it was. 

Madison, of course.

I rolled my eyes at her and looked away trying to ignore her when I knew that she was talking about me. 

" Going against him in front of the whole school just for attention, Wasn't that you? " I hear Madison say

I look toward her to see her staring at me  " June? right " She said smirking

"Was that supposed to be funny?" I ask her

"Wasn't it?" She said " But it wasn't as funny as you desperately trying to get Aiden to notice you"

"Oh come on Madison, not everyone has to screams for attention like you" I taunted her and before she could say anything, our teacher entered. I rolled my eyes at her and looked away.

Stacy and I were in the school driveway, saying goodbye when I saw the same car standing next to mine. It had a white horse sticker on its bumper. 

"Who's car is that?" I asked Stacy as I was curious because this car was a limited edition and someone here in this school having the same car intrigued me

"Oh that car belongs to the very 'hot and handsome' Aiden Dawson," Stacy said teasing me

"Not bad," I said 

When I reached home I took a deep breath before I opened my front door.

I hated coming back to an empty home. I had no clue why I was living alone. I was just abruptly snatched away from my home because of something that happened in my past and the funny thing is that I had no idea about it. I have zero memory. All I remember was that I was in an accident and when I recovered I was sent here to start a new life and I was asked to keep a low profile that's it.

My past is like a bad feeling that never goes away. I am surrounded by this constant fear that's something bad would happen but all I could do was pray that it didn't.
