"I take it you two have had a good day?" Fran asked as they walked in.

"Yeah, it's been you know. Okay, nothing out of the ordinary." I said, as Ben placed an arm around me, Fran and Andy laughing a little.

"I dread to think of what the kitchen must look like" Andy said. "Do you two want to clean up and we'll head into the living room?" Fran added, barely able to contain her laughter. "Down in a few." I said grabbing Ben's hand and running up the stairs.

I headed to the bathroom and turned the shower on.

"So, who won then?" I asked, pulling my jeans off and my sticky jumper over my head as Ben undressed.

"Hmm, I'll let you win on one condition" Ben said as he stepped under the water.

"And that would be?" I asked.

"You join me, and help get all these bloody eggshells out of my hair!" he said and I hopped in laughing a little as he placed his hands around my waist...

A while later...

Myself and Ben were sat in the living room with Merlin, Fran and Andy. Andy had Arthur jumping up and down in his lap as Fran played with his wavy brown hair.

"So, how was the little man for the week?" Andy asked. "He was okay actually, then again Ben's a total natural with babies so..." I said looking over and him and Andy and Fran just cooed at him.

"Rosie's more of a natural, she knows that." Ben said, planting a small kiss on my cheek.

"You two go from attacking each other with the contents of the kitchen to lovey-dovey in seconds, unbelievable." Andy said and we just smiled.

We talked to them for some time about their holiday over a cup of tea and I headed to the kitchen to grab a few of Arthur's things which surprisingly were not covered in flour, honey, eggs, or oats. "Rosie, mind if we have a quick chat?" Fran quietly said as she came in the kitchen, avoiding the mess I'd eventually clean up. "Sure, what's up?" I asked.

"Well firstly, thank you for having Arty. It gave me and Andy some much needed time to ourselves." she said. "Oh you're welcome sis (well sister-in-law)" I said and she smiled at the term as we shared a hug, it's nice having someone who feels like an older sister, the only other person I think of like that is my cousin Elizabeth.

"I also wanted to say that you and Ben are adorable, you handled the 'babybatch' incident well" she winked, and I faintly smiled, tucking some hair behind my ears. "Yeah, I did wonder if you'd have known about it" I said, handing her Arthur's things. "Ben just said what you did and we're really grateful, to be so protective over him like that" she smiled and I felt my cheeks warm.

"Was it easy?" she asked, stepping over the food on the floor and sitting at the dining table with me.

"Was what easy?" I asked.

"Avoiding the baby talk, when you were looking after a baby." she said and I squirmed in my seat for a moment.

"Eeeh, bleh meh, sort of." I mumbled and she chuckled lightly. "I've known you since you were 13 Rosie, I know you can string a proper sentence together" she added and I laughed for a moment.

"Urm, I certainly didn't even try to bring the topic up, neither did he to be honest. We just asked each other about names we liked earlier that's all. He wasn't trying to hint at anything happening in the next nine months, not that anything would" I said and she nodded in understanding.

"I'm glad, it's just well we know how much Ben's wanted to be a dad in the past and I hoped that having a baby around all day for a week wouldn't make you two have a talk that could end badly" she calmly said and I tucked some hair behind my ears.
