Chapter 25

Sunday. Early afternoon.

"Alright cousin it" Finn laughed as he walked into my room.

"Yes we both know I'm in dire need of a haircut!" I laughed as he flopped on my bed whilst I pulled a brush through my hair, sat on the floor in front of the tall standalone mirror. "I thought you were gonna get a trim the other day?" he asked, moving off the bed and sitting behind me and brushing my hair after I passed him the brush.

"I was, but mum said she'd get me an appointment at the hairdressers she goes to, not the other one where you ask for a trim and they hack your hair off" I said and he nodded. 

"How'd you want it?" He asked.

"Um, half up, half down would look best I think" I smiled and he nodded before parting one section and I held up the top half. "I see you decided to wear a suit then?" I asked, noticing he was wearing a whiter than white button down and navy trousers, the blazer was probably in his room. 

"Yeah, I mean one it'd be a nice gesture and two I look fucking amazing in tailored suits" he said without even a hint of modesty which made me laugh. "It's those long legs of yours, you're all so damn tall!" I exclaimed and he nodded, the boys all ranged in height from 6"2 to 6"4, with Finn being the tallest out of all the boys, much to the annoyance of the others- especially Percy.

It's not a surprise they're all giants as dad's 6"4 and mum's about 5"10 if I recall well, I'm merely 5"8 and a half compared to them, I always emphasize the half just because. 

"True, we've got good genes is all, you're not too short yourself you know" he said taking the other section of hair and combing it back. "I know, it's just weird being taller than most of my friends but shorter than you all!" I said and he smiled.

"Ah that's alright, Ben's only 6"0 so we tease him for being a shrimp instead, plus you're fairly tall in heels" he smiled as did I, it's quite funny how they tease him for being shorter than them, even though it's not by much. 

"I really can't wait to wear a pair of heels again, I dunno why I just do!" I said throwing my hands in the air and he faintly smiled. Maybe it's because I went from being in a cast to my boot now, I do like it though, I went back to St Thomas' this morning with mum and had it fitted and practiced walking in it for a few hours before we came back home. It's great though, it immobilizes my ankle so there's no pressure on it and I can walk freely. 

"Well, we both look good in heels so..." he winked and I giggled; it's insane how Finn manages to look better than most women when he wears my clothes as a joke, well some of them, he ripped my jeans the time he tried to fit in them, safe to say he won't make that mistake again considering he was red in the face and knackered after managing to get them off. 

"Do you wish he was here then? Ben I mean." he asked, braiding my hair as I strapped my boot on, having pulled on some over the knee black socks.

"Hmm yeah I always miss him when he's not here, but it's okay we've got each other, today's about mum more than anything, I can't wait to see him though" I faintly smiled and he nodded, just as mum popped in.

"Sometimes I really wish this house didn't have so many stairs! Keeps me in shape I guess" she uttered coming in to see Finn doing my hair. 

"Oh that's adorable, like when you were little, well actually he's always done your hair" she smiled.

"I've just got so many talents mum, hairdressing is clearly one of them" he said as she planted a tiny kiss on his cheek and then mine which made us both smile before she sat at my desk chair facing us to talk.
